Enjoy a complete 2-day experience in the Lacandon Jungle, combining archaeology, nature, and local culture in a single tour.
The first day begins with pickup from your hotel in Palenque at 5:30 AM. After a journey of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, you will enjoy a buffet breakfast before continuing on to the Mexico-Guatemala border.
Afterwards, you'll board a motorboat for a 45-minute cruise along the Usumacinta River to Yaxchilán, an ancient Mayan city surrounded by rainforest, where you'll have approximately 2 hours to explore. Afterwards, you will return by boat to the border, where there will be a stop at a restaurant for free time for lunch (not included).
The tour continues to Bonampak, where you'll change vehicles to enter the archaeological site and admire its famous Mayan murals.
At the end, you'll head to the camp in Lacanjá Chansayab, where you'll spend the night in cabins inside the jungle, enjoying a unique natural environment.
After breakfast on Day 2, you will take a guided hike in the Lacandon Jungle, where you can observe flora, fauna, birds, and wildlife. You'll also visit an archaeological mound still covered by vegetation and have the opportunity to swim in the Lacanjá River.
At the end of the activities, you'll return to the camp to enjoy an included lunch. Afterwards, you'll have free time to relax, walk around the community, enjoy the natural surroundings, or rest in the hammock area by the river.
Finally, you'll board the transport to return to Palenque.
