Explore Monteverde’s nocturnal ecosystem during a guided evening walk through a nature reserve in the Santa Elena and Monteverde area. Begin with pickup from your accommodation within the included service area and travel in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle.
After meeting your guide, set out on an approximately 2-hour walk along forest trails surrounded by tropical vegetation. Search for nocturnal mammals, birds, insects, reptiles, and amphibians while learning about their behaviour and the importance of protecting the local ecosystem.
Depending on natural activity, you may see frogs, sloths, armadillos, raccoons, olingos, kinkajous, owls, insects, and other native species. As these animals live freely in their natural habitat, sightings cannot be guaranteed.
At the end of the walk, return by vehicle to your accommodation in Santa Elena or Monteverde.
The activity provider will confirm the selected reserve before the tour. If the planned reserve becomes unavailable, travellers may accept a comparable alternative or receive a full refund. Minor operational adjustments may be made as long as they do not affect the main activities.
If adverse weather, force majeure, or circumstances beyond the activity provider’s control cause a cancellation or critical itinerary change, travellers may choose a guaranteed full refund.
The total duration is approximate and includes transport to and from the activity location.
