What you can expect

  • Experience the excitement of Japanese sumo wrestling with admission to one of the three annual tournaments held in Tokyo. Join a professional English-speaking guide and learn about sumo culture and traditions before watching these powerful wrestlers compete in the ring.

    [For Chair B Seats]
    After meeting your guide, head to Ryogoku Sumo Stadium and enjoy the excitement of a live sumo tournament. Watch the ring-entering ceremonies of the Makuuchi (top division) wrestlers at 3:40 PM and the Yokozuna (grand champions) at 3:55 PM.

    [For Chair C Seats]
    Meet up with guide at Hana no Mai Edo Tokyo Museum at 1:15pm.
    Try traditional Chanko Nabe(Japanese hot pot) for lunch.
    After lunch, head to Ryogoku Sumo Stadium and enjoy the sumo games. Watch the ring-entering ceremony of the Makuuchi (Strong) Division and the Yokozuna (Strongest) Division at 3:40 PM and 3:55 PM respectively.

    At 4:10 PM, the Makuuchi Division matches begin. Watch the wrestlers battle to force their opponents out of the ring or make any part of their body touch the ground. Witness the results of years of dedicated training as Japan's top wrestlers compete. The tournament ends at approximately 6:00 PM.
