What you can expect

Get a unique look at two of the most iconic relics of Moorish rule in Granada on this insightful tour through the city's remarkable history. A visit to the grand palaces of the Alhambra and Generalife lets you relive the glory of the Nasrid dynasty as you explore some of its most incredible structures.

Your guide leads you out to the palatial complex of the Alhambra, which grew from a small 9th-century fortress into one of the grandest redoubts in the country. Learn about its rise to prominence during the reign of the last Muslim rulers in Spain, and see the beautifully arranged gardens in the nearby summer palace of Generalife.

The visit gives you an up-close look at the unique architectural styles on display throughout the palace, like the intricate patterning on the walls, the elegant Gate of Pomegranates, the Pillar of Charles V, and the Dehesa of Generalife. Get plenty of time to admire the scenery, and pick up some insight from your knowledgeable guide, before you return to the city.

If you choose the option, you can visit the Nasrid Palaces. Here you will discover how the architectural elements that compose it go from being part of the structure to an incomparable ornamentation. You will visit the Palace of Comares, the Palace of the Lions, and its annex, the Mexuar, chosen by the Catholic Kings as a place of residence during their reign.

Due to the current policy of the Alhambra, right after booking you must email the provider the full name, ID or passport number, date of birth and nationality of each traveller (babies included) and also present the ID or passport before entering the monument.
