Note that the noise from the bar next door is really loud as mentioned by other reviews, but it stopped by 11 and is generally very peaceful after that."

"The hotel room was a good size and I had a great view of the hills. I loved the outside bathroom experience. The food was good and the staff were kind and helpful. Great energy. There a lot of great restaurants to walk to and eat. "

"The place was a great place to stay - we were only there the night and would have been happy to stay longer. The rooms are solid with stone finish and decor of the rooming place is beautiful We actually moved from one room to one with a kitchen and that was perfect as we had some dinner that we picked up and could heat on the stove. The only set back was that it was very difficult to find and the sign is above the parking gargage and not legible any more. Recommend that the signage be improved"

"15 min walk to the beach, is a small beach big waves but you can swim, the area in general is definitely for relaxing. No shopping around. "

"The room is very spacious with a big bed. The toilet is very nice as well. The only thing I would note is that for us which came from a tropical climate the temperature around the area might be a bit cold. Also getting grab/gojek is nearly impossible. I would recommend to arrange transport through the hotel to airport and long distance areas if not by bike. "

The buildings and pool are worse for wear, staff not as friendly, no footwear sign at open dining room but staff did not comply… I hate having bare feet on a restaurant floor. Increased prices by far … but less for breakfast … now pay extra for bacon with your eggs? We were the only guests on the first day but were sent to the “ naughty” corner outside with our happy hour cocktails to have a...

"I have never been a beach, bars and booze guy so I never thought of coming to Bali. After visiting Kintamani and staying at Villa Jempana I am regretting not coming sooner. Serene views of the lake and caldera, central to lots of drives and the sunrises and sunsets, even in the rainy season were stunning. If being comfortable and cared for while quietly watching the farmers water their fields is you kinda thing, I can’t recommend enough. Ask for Molex."

"If youre into quiet serene views, lots of space and being surrounded by nature, far from the hustle and bustle of city life, then Griya is the place for you. We really enjoyed our stay abd the staff were super helpful and friendly. It was during caterpillar season though and part of the "nature" bit included the upsides and downsides...in this case, loads of caterpillars crawling everywhere- you get used to it after a while and they're quick to send someone round to clean up.
