"My stay at Ryan’s Hotel in Cong was very enjoyable. The staff provided consistently thoughtful service, and the on‑site pub offered an authentic, welcoming vibe that felt true to the village. Breakfast provided lots of options including hot eggs, sausages, as well as more continental options. the complimentary parking right outside was a real convenience. The hotel is in the heart of the village and you can walk to the Abby, Asheford Estate, or shops and pubs and cafes. The hotel also seems to attract many fishing enthusiasts, which I’m not one, but makes sense as you can easily walk to the rivers. We liked that the hotel was so close to nature trails and the other local attractions. You may need to request a fan for your room during summer since like most hotels in Ireland there is little need for air conditioning."

"The location is RIGHT in the heart of the Latin Quarter--directly across from the Galway Girl sculpture. If you're an early riser (and therefore an early to bed person), you might need to alter your sleeping plans on Friday and Saturday night! Galway is a fun town and the Snug is at its epicenter! But with the windows closed and the AC on, the room is rather quiet considering its location amid the revelry. Super clean, super helpful staff, and super snuggly!"

"This review is somewhat of a challenge. The room was very good. The breakfasts were very good. Staff were friendly enough - the staff st the bar always appeared disinterested. The staff for breakfast were very conscientious. There was a serious problem a security matter. At about 1 a.m., a guy was screaming next to my room. He was screaming vile profanity and this was alarming. I complained to staff the next morning and it appeared the matter was taken very seriously. The guy apparently also relieved himself in the hallway. So, my issue was not with the response of the staff but with the security protocols that permit a drunken, out of control person to enter the premises and be right next to my room. He did not have a room at this hotel but apparently had an apartment behind it"

"Even though the property is outside of the tourist area, the local bus, line 401, picks up and drops off almost exactly in front of the property. I enjoyed having access to a washing machine and dryer (5€ for a load to wash, 5€ for a load to dry). On my first morning, I had the breakfast at the hostel, however I did not feel like it was worth paying 8€. I’d recommend going to O’Connors bakery, a 5 min walk from the hostel instead. Overall it was a great stay. Clean environment, friendly staff, and comfy rooms."
