Bathroom was dirty. Great view of Edinburgh castle but too near the noise of the Grassmarket evening entertainment. No air in room. Had to keep window open for fresh air which made it hard to sleep.

We had a lovely one-night stay, wishing we could have stayed longer. Everyone was kind and competent. Good food in the morning. It’s right on the Grassmarket square, where there are a lot of restaurants and activities, and a short hike to the Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile. Our balcony view of the Castle was breathtaking. All in all, a great place to stay.

I checked into this hotel last minute after an issue with the previous property. The staff were so incredibly friendly and kind. My room had a great view, was clean, and comfortable. I didn't pack a swimsuit but would have loved to check out the sauna/pool. Located in a really convenient area if you want to stay and explore old Edinburgh.
