Dear James,Thank you for choosing and reviewing our hotel.We are very sorry that you did not enjoy your stay at our property even though you praised the location. The concept of old is very subjective as our hotel is located in a historic tower from the 1200s next to the Cathedral of Florence and the furnishings respect Florentine art (handmade wooden furniture and Tuscan terracotta flooring). It is clear that you have given a negative rating to the staff as we kindly asked you not to occupy the tables in the room for hours with food brought from outside but we still allowed you to do so.We are very sorry for the negative score and would like to point out that the reception is available to resolve any problem.Best regards,Andrea

Dear Francesco, Thank you for reviewing our hotel and for appreciating the location. I want to respond immediately to your negative review in which you complain about the noise. First of all you left the hotel 3 hours after your check in (around 5pm) without giving any explanation so you didn't spend the night in the hotel (As soon as you entered the room you immediately complained saying that a double room with two single beds should have two double beds ). Another point, you have been assigned two rooms, one internal which has no noise and one external which overlooks a secondary road where it is normal for at 4pm in the heart of life in the center of Florence there is noise from activities and of the bells of the Cathedral. As a hotel we will improve the soundproofing of the rooms as much as possibleGenerally I invite everyone to come back, but I advise you to stay away from the historic centers and take a hotel on the outskirts to have total silence Best RegardsAndrea
