30 minute walk from downtown area, great restaurant next door with live music & amazing food! small room but very clean & comfortable with a balcony!

Amazing place to stay with an amazing staff! Helped me out in every way possible! Only down side is you have to pay to use the pool and spa but whatever! Its still an amazing spot to stay if you dont mind walking its about a 20 mjnute walk into the city center

It was a convenient place with cafes and restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. The staff was efficient, helpful and friendly. We loved the complimentary spa access for our room.

Reading all the poor reviews for this hotel would have put me off but as we had little other option I reluctantly chose this hotel. Do not let the poor reviews influence your decision, the hotel was clean, the staff were super friendly and while the location wasn't ideal its a bus ride to the Duomo. I would stay again if in Florence.

We were not in the main building but in another building that was a little run down. Pool services were 20 euros for two hrs.. expensive.

Maximal drei Sterne Bewertung. Das Personal ist sehr unfreundlich und das Frühstück Buffet lässt für ein Viersternehotel zu wünschen übrig. Bei uns wurde altes Brot serviert und auch das Personal auf Anfrage reagiert. Nur auf Anfrage bei bestimmten Wünsche. Die Zimmer sind sauber und zweckmäßig ansonsten würden wir maximal drei Sterne geben für die gebuchte Leistung viel zu teuer.

Great hotel for family with spacious rooms and access to a pool (for extra money). Staff are very helpful and friendly. It is a 30 minute walk to Duomo and Centre of Florence. So you feel like you’re at at resort instead of a downtown experience.

För högt betyg, inte prisvärt
Överskattat betyg på hotellet. Inte värt 4 stjärnor. Längre till centrum än man får intrycket av. Mycket trevligt och tillmötesgående personal. Okej frukost. Rummen i annexet där vi hade familjerum var som ett pimpat va vandrarhem för utom toaletten som var bra. Spisen sönder och toan rann. Poolen inte tillgänglig vilket man givits intrycket av utan ingick i spa som kostade att nyttja. Levde inte upp till reklamen eller min förväntan.

Absolutely shocked at how this property is portrayed online. It is located in a shady area and feels incredibly unsafe. Rooms are subpar and washrooms are disgusting. Would not recommend, especially for tourists.

The Hotel is located in a strategic position: with a pleasant walk along the banks of the Arno from the hotel it is possible to reach the main attractions of Florence; and just 15 min. walking distance from the Train Station of Campo Marte and the nearby sports facilities, in a quiet residential area of Florence sheltered from the bustle of traffic, full of restaurants of Tuscan cuisine, Pub and Pizzeria. The Grifone Hotel has undergone a renovation of all rooms and common areas, we have already intervened in all the Standard and Superior rooms, we will complete the intervention by spring 2023 for the Classic. We have already completed the interventions in the common areas and in the Breakfast Room, and opened the SPA. Your report is absolutely appreciated and will be useful for evaluations in support of the planned intervention. Loved everything about this hotel. One negative comment is that every day more mosquitos found their way to our room. We don’t know how they were getting in. Also the air con unit leaked. But every other thing was perfect - bed, bathroom and bedroom was spacious, clean, modern etc. hotel was very friendly and easy to use

Poor reception service. Reallllly slow to handle our check in as if no care in the world. Hotel itself is clean with good sized room but old and we got bitten by mosquitos for a couple of nights. Far away from city centre but can walk to if needed. Area around hotel is ok. But would never stay here again.

We answer you on the consideration that emerges from your review, you have booked a room without canceling it, not having shown up on the day of arrival, as per the cancellation policy we have charged you the amount on your credit card, if you have notified us in time we would have canceled your reservation without charge. I also sincerely inform you that it is not correct to call the hotel to ask for a cancellation and inform us that if we did not do it you would have given us a negative review, or positive if we had not charged. Reviews are an evaluation tool for the hotel experience, which allows us to improve ourselves, it cannot be used as blackmail in the face of economic demands. Il personale è di una gentilizze unica!!! Il ragazzo alto alla reception e la Signora bionda alle colazioni sono perfetti e sprecati per una struttura che di 4 stelle non ha assolutamente nulla. Da sottolineare che su hotel.com è fuorviante la descrizione. In ogni caso la mia lamentela è per la struttura al quale darei un 3 stelle pieno ma non un 4 stelle assolutamente. Gli ascensori non hanno sempre funzionato, la Pulizia bene ma non benissimo, c'era polvere sui comodini, la struttura è "vecchia", a Firenze ho soggiornato in posti migliori. 100 stelle davvero meritate al personale. Sono stati gentili,ci hanno cambiato la camera che sconsiglio vivamente (la depandance). Poche aspettative allo stesso prezzo si trova di meglio. Ottima la colazione servita a tavola e buona anche la posizione per spostamenti in auto. Il parcheggio è a pagamento 13 euro al giorno ma se si acquista dal sito dell'hotel è gratis. Pessima scelta prenotare da hotels.com

Very Disappointed
Not comfortable at all compared to other hotels in Italy. The charges are very high and service is low.

Très bon séjour niveau qualité prix, nous avion une chambre junior suite. La piscine et le spa est très bien. La chambre et le spa très propre. Petit déjeuner, il faudrait que le manager trouve une meilleure organisation. Les employés sont très gentils et serviables

Bien mais Petites mauvaises surprises
Petit-déjeuner mal organisé, client qui a hurlé sur un pauvre employé. Nous avons décidé de ne pas prendre de petit-déjeuner les jours suivants. Parking payant mais pas indiqué dès le départ. Nous l’avons su au Check-out. 13€ par jour ce qui est énorme ! Petit-déjeuner pris une fois mais compté deux fois. Notre chambre était près de l’ascenseur et d’une porte d’étage, beaucoup de bruit le matin.

Prenant note de votre jugement, je vous suis également reconnaissant d'avoir signalé les lacunes que vous avez constatées, c'est l'occasion d'améliorer nos standards dans le but d'obtenir vos attentes à l'occasion de votre prochain séjour. Le coût du stationnement (13€) est largement annoncé sur Hotels.com, il vous a également été communiqué à votre arrivée, sinon vous ne pouviez pas vous garer. Il est dégressif par rapport aux tarifs pratiqués par les autres structures de la ville ; avec l'avantage d'avoir un parking à l'intérieur et non dans un garage à l'extérieur de l'hôtel. Nous sommes vraiment désolés de ce qui s'est passé dans la salle de petit-déjeuner et de votre perception de ne pas prêter attention au client, l'objectif principal de l'hôtel Grifone. Veuillez accepter nos sincères excuses pour ne pas avoir répondu à vos attentes, dans l'espoir qu'à l'avenir cela nous donnera l'occasion de démontrer le professionnalisme et la précision de nos services.

the hotel is very simple but clean the only (Very) negative point was the breakfast experience, it seems that the staff was not enough to serve us, the welcoming at the restaurant was very bad, we waited almost 1 hour to be served. when we entered the breakfast room we were not told hello, the two waiters ignored us. we were served ourselves at the buffet but an employee told us in an aggressive way that we had to sit down and that she would come and take the order. we had to call her several times because she never came. Finally they bring us a document to check off what we want to eat but she asks us for it and brings us something else than what we "ordered" (the eggs were missing, and juices were not what was ordered) It's quite absurd to be welcomed like this in a 4* hotel (even in hotels with fewer stars...) if the staff is not enough to provide a quality welcome and service, why not let the guests serve themselves at the buffet?

Hotel stary, pokoje starsze niż na zdjęciach( szczególnie łazienka ). Oprócz budynku głównego ze zdjęcia są tez małe gdzie również są pokoje . Na śniadanie trzeba się ubrać i iść do budynku głównego . Trafiliśmy na duża grypę uczniów którzy przyjechali na zawody - nie dało się zasnąć i pobudka była przez nich bardzo wcześnie . Śniadania bardzo skromne . Bez świeżych owoców i warzyw. Drugiego dnia ( po przyjeździe wycieczki ) było jeszcze skromniejsze i kawa wymieniona na najgorszą w moim życiu . Nie polecam . Napewno nigdy nie wrócę.

Мы точно восстановили то, что произошло, и мы можем только гражданским способом оспаривать то, что вы говорите, поскольку мы предоставили вам номер Classic, как вы забронировали; Отель Grifone предлагает номера как в главном здании, так и рядом с ним, всегда в нашей собственности. Номера Classic расположены по периметру внутреннего двора и оснащены элементами, напоминающими типичный тосканский стиль, которые идеально подходят для пребывания под знаменем флорентийских впечатлений. У нас не было студентов в отеле, но группа родителей с их детьми участвовала в футбольном турнире, после его доклада мы немедленно вмешались, и тишина вернулась. Примите наши искренние извинения за то, что не оправдали ваших ожиданий, в надежде, что в будущем это даст нам возможность продемонстрировать вам профессионализм и точность наших услуг.
