"We stayed at an alternate property because the advertised one wasn’t ready. However, the owner notified us well in advance. The condo was quiet and the air conditioning worked. We only had 2 towels for 4 people. For the price paid it was a good value and not too far from the airport. Good as a jumping off point for our tour"

"We had an amazing tour guide who showed us around the island, to the village, the turtle hatchery and other wildlife on the island. We were given cooked meals throughout the day and drinks. Great atmosphere, all the staff were very friendly and accommodating"

"The Sabah Hotel is a lovely hotel. Our twin room on the 6th floor was perfect with comfortable firm beds and was clean and spacious. Note: importantly the room has a fridge which is not all that common at other Sandakan hotels. The Buffet Breakfast was very good, especially the egg station and food was plentiful. "The staff was very nice and welcoming. The rooms were basic, but comfortable. There was entertainment going on outside and it sounded like the person singing was in our room. The structure didn't block outside nose very well."
