Really helpful amd friendly staff. Slightly out of the main town so peaceful by the beach and pool. Morning coffee/tea.service to room a nice touch.

Ok hotel that needs a little bit love
This hotel has seen it’s best days and needs a little bit love. Staff is nice but unfortunately the bungalows are worn down. They should be fixed and cleaned properly. Probably covid has effected the hotel :/ It can be seen that the hotel has previously been romantic and harmonic. We had much cheaper and better hotels during our holiday in Bali but this one has potential also if it was renovated and cleaned. Amed is small and not so crouded place. Nice little get away. There are good snorkling points nearby. The restaurant menu should be shortened and food should be made with fresh ingredients. Local meals were the best in this restaurant. From hotel you can order great taxi driver (Robby) for day trips.

The location of the property is great! We had the ocean view bungalow which was nice to see the ocean and hear the waves. The only downside is the pool is right in front of the bungalow so we heard the guests that were hanging out by the pool.

Ocean front oasis in Amed
We loved oir stay in an ocean view bungalow at Santai. The bumgalow waa comfortable and clean,, with nice touches including comfy furniture on the front porch, morning coffee delivered to your room, and a lovely carved wooden headboard and mirror. The food was excellent and tbe staff was friemdly and helpful.

Snorkeling en famille
C’est un lieu de rendez-vous pour la plongée et le snorkeling, mais la région offre peu d’alternative. L’hôtel est bien entretenu et les maisonnettes sont coquettes mais un peu petites pour 4 personnes. Le personnel est très souriant et avenant.

Die Anlage ist einfach toll! Die Unterkunft (eigenes Häuschen) ist bis zu 4 Personen (2 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder) ausgelegt. Der Pool ist sauber und lädt zum entspannen ein. Zudem kann man es sich bei Massagen gut gehen lassen, diese finden auf der Anlage, in einem kleinen Separee mit Meerblick statt. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück (Menü) ist schmackhaft und ausreichend.

Very beautiful property and pool by the sea. I think you need a scooter to get to restaurants and Amed beach, but scooters are available in the hotel. Good food in the restaurant. Offer a lot of services like trips and spa and others. Villas were not that luxurious but they were cute and they were cleaned every day.

Short trip to Amed
Had great time in Santai for 4 nights. We had ocean view bungalow and I loved watching the sea and fishermen nextdoor in the mornings while drinking morning tea. We eat at the hotel almost everyday and we really liked everything we had there. Thanks to the chef! The breakfast was really good and loved the dragon bowl smoothie. Staff was very helpful with everything and they arranged us everything we needed. All in all nice quiet area so easy to ride a motorbike there. Visited also the sister hotel Griya for their spa treatments and can highly recommend trying them out. They can arrange car ride for you to the other hotel when needed.

Beautiful hotel, authentic bamboo structure with wonderful view of the ocean, staff were very nice too. The only downside was the noise, there's a very noisy live music bar close by that kept us awake until midnight, there was construction going on that was still happening when we were there even though the note in the room said it was supposed to be done by that time, and you can very vividly hear the nearby road in the room.

A lovely little hotel!
This is a lovely little hotel. Nice bungalows in a beautiful garden and a great pool. The people are helpful and the restaurant is serving excellent food. The breakfasts are very special. They are served at your table .. no need to run around trying to find your eggs at a buffet. This is more civilized. The hotel is right on the beach and you can snorkel right there. I saw all kind of beautiful fish no more than 100 meters from the hotel. But .. the beaches here are not of the golden sand type. But rather grey pebbles. I stayed for three days and saw no reason to leave the hotel except for jumping into the sea to look at pretty fish. The hotel has everything you need. A great place to relax!

Nous avons beaucoup aimé cet hôtel, les bungalows sont très beaux et très propres. Les restaurant de l’hôtel est aussi très bon. La piscine est très agréable juste devant la plage. Ce n’est pas le meilleur rapport qualité prix cependant notre séjour fut agréable

Heaven on earth. It had everything you can think of. For a layback hotels. All the details have been well thought. The little houses are very clean and comfortable. The staff very alert and nice. The food was excellent. Very relax place. You can snorkel right in front of the hotel. The desk can organize any tour or massage. Our only regret is that ee did not stay long enough.

Un effort sur l accueil.
Nous avons été surpris par l accueil pas du tout Balinais... Pour le reste le bungalow avec vue sur mer et piscine est parfait. Le restaurant et les petits déjeuners sont plutôt correct, le vrai problème ce sont les prix pratiqués pour les excursions et ou activités proposees qui sont au double des ce qui est proposé dans les tourist information center a quelques dizaine de mètres de l hôtel.

Es sind meherer 2-stöckige Häuser gebaut aus Bambus. Erzeugt ein sehr nette Atmosphäre die zum entspannen nur einläd. Das Essen und Getränke sind sehr gut. Morgens früh wird Kaffee auf dem Balkon vor dem Zimmereingang gestellt--> Super. Aufstehen Sonnenaufgang um 6 Uhr morgens genießen und Bali-Kaffee trinken auf mit Meeresblick!!! Wir konnten gut im Meer vor dem Hotel direkt schwimmen. Schnorcheln in Amed machte ebenso Spaß. Wir waren hier nur 2 Tage wären gerne aber 4 Tage geblieben.

Best hotel in Bali
Uden tvivl det bedste hotel vi har boet på under vores 3 uger i Bali. Hotellet har fantastisk personale som var virkelig gode til at hygge omkring vores søn (baby på 6 mdr.), mega hyggeligt område med hytter der giver et indtryk af "det rigtige bali". Restauranten på hotellet lavede virkelig god mad - faktisk spiste vi alle vores måltider på hotellet fordi maden var så god.

Linen with hair and stains Room lock Brocken no one borthered to change it Ants in the bed (green ants they bite) Extra bed was a mattress on the floor No one tried to address any issue promptly and/or professionally We left after the first night Very unsafe for kids The hotel it’s old and very decadent The sea its amazing and worth a visit but stay in different hotel

Airport Shuttle is NOT Roundtrip
Staying at Santai Hotel was very enjoyable and they were very helpful with booking activities. There were a few occasions were I felt the staff or the drivers took liberties to get extra money out of us. On one tour, the driver/ tour guide told us we needed to hire another tour guide to see rice fields. The description stated the guide would already be included, but had to pay extra when we got there. We also found out (the hard way) that the airport shuttle is not roundtrip as advertised and had to pay quite a bit more on check out. They would not talk about the confusion and insisted we pay. The trip was great, except for the ending suprise.

You sure can relax here
Ames is a quiet place, you sure can have a relaxation trip here. There are not much shops around, if you know how to ride a motorbike is much more convenient to travel around. The food in the hotel is good, you can join the gym at Griya which is free of charge! But you need to solve the transportation since the shuttle bus is not always available. The staff are helpful and friendly. We do enjoy the trip very much.
