"This property was wonderful. Directly on the Royal Mile. Large living area, well maintained, comfortable beds and amenities. Was a little difficult to locate. The gate to the property is in Bishops Close. The closest parking garage was about a 10 minute walk, so drop off luggage first! We used St. James Quarter garage. This was close to all sightseeing. Would definitely recommend!"

"It was difficult to find the first time. Probably more my GPS fault than anything. Once arrived, I had to walk around the area to find my lodgings. GPS said "you have arrived" well, that wasn't good enough. I walked around till I found it. I slept in the twin bunk room. The bottom bunk bed was very uncomfortable. "The room was nice and very quiet. The food (both evening meal and breakfasts) was very good - evening meal being reasonably priced with lots of options. We've scored Linton Hotel as an average on some basic housekeeping points which hopefully they will learn from. "Lovely location, good food and good service from all the staff but disappointing niggles tainted the stay. No hot water on arrival after a long drive and day’s walking, little heat from the radiator, broken handle on the shower unit and noticeably loose flooring in the bathroom. The hot water was resolved before bedtime and the manager did all he could however far from ideal. This said if the issues are addressed it is a nice place to stay."
