The property was nice. I had a comfortable room. There is a charge for ice. No ice machines on the floors. I don't understand quilts on the bed. It's summer. To sleep under a quilt/comforter I need to turn the AC very low. In the morning I need to turn on the heat because the room is very cold. If I take off the quilt there are no sheets.

The staff were fantastic and helpful . The breakfast was awesome . Hotel is centrally located and convenient to take the metro or just walk to the Duomo. I plan to go back again and definitely stay there . As convenient as the location was , it was the staff they made it feel like I was coming home !!

I booked this hotel primarily due to it's central location. Very nice room and bathroom. Rooftop restaurant had fabulous views, but the menu was somewhat limited and is clearly a place to go for food in Milan, so bear that in mind; reservations required even as a hotel guest . Expensive, but probably worth the money.

A wonderful hotel in a fantastic location. Walkable to all major attractions. Nicely appointed room with comfortable bed. Very nice breakfast also. Highly recommended!

Incident - Sunday 14th April at Hotel The Square Milano. Threatened and removed from hotel roof garden by security. My partner and I were studying on the roof garden of the hotel. We arrived to the roof garden around 1.30pm and quietly enjoyed the sun in the private area whilst studying. At around 4pm, a waiter from the roof top bar (on the same level, but not visible from the roof garden) appeared and told us that this area was not a solarium (despite the garden furniture and signage suggesting so). I explained that we were hotel guests and we had been there all afternoon, with staff passing by and greeting us politely during those hours. He then told us that we should move to the rooftop bar, I explained to him that we had already spent €300 in the rooftop bar over the weekend, and we were not looking to sit in a bar, only to sit in a private space and study. Then, he advised very rudely that if we wanted to continue to sit in the garden area, we had to change our clothing (which my partner did). I was shocked, this garden area was completely private and not part of the rooftop bar, but part of our hotel which was only accessible for hotel guests. It was a no service area and was equipped with garden furniture - a place for the hotel guests to relax. Around 20 minutes later, the hotel security guard appeared and removed us from the area. He told us that we could not sit there, and we needed to go to our rooms immediately. I have never been treated so disrespectfully.

This is apparently a hotel that tries to maximise its profit and does not care customer experience at all, I have to give 1 star for this hotel as it fails the most basic requirements for a hotel. There is a restaurant on the 10th floor of this hotel and the restaurant staffs do some regular work after the restaurant closes in mid night(2 am). The work produced quite some noises. Despite the bad noise isolation of the room, this hotel still chooses to having a few rooms on the same floor. My room was unfortunaly next to where the work happens. The room I used is literally 2 meters away from where the noisy work come from at 2AM every day. And it is not for 2 min, the whole work took longer than 20 minutes mid night and produce large noise spike sounds like a slapping door or hammering a pipe. Here is what I did: 1, On the first night at 2 am, I could not sleep due to this noise and came out my room noticing someone is doing the work just in front my door, again 2 AM. I told the guy either he stops or I contact reception. The guy was reasonable enough and stopped. 2, On the second day, I complained to the reception and I was told they will make a note to some department. 3, On the second night, the noise came again and I got woke up again. I came down directly to the reception. They asked if I want to change a room, which apparently I did not want since it was 2 am. The noisy work again stopped after security team come upstairs and talke

Clean, big and spacious room and also toilet! Staffs were friendly and helpful overall. Was given fruits platter on first night, via room service and from hotel. Walkable distance to metro and to famous duomo. 1 thing that could be improved, would be the breakfast. We stayed for few nights and pretty bored by the same breakfast daily.

Great hotel in an excellent location close to the Duomo. The only negative was that our room was directly behind the elevator so vey noisy. We asked to move when we checked in but no alternate room was available for the first night of our stay. We were moved for nights 2 and 3 but the new room was overlooking the street so there was a fair amount of noise from the tram. Both rooms were excellent but if noise concerns you you may want to speak with the hotel upon booking to find a better option.

Great location and beautiful room.
Great location. Walked to church and Last Supper painting and stores. Only need a car to get to Milan airport. Breakfast was nice. Highly recommend this lovely hotel.

Nous avons séjourné dans cet hôtel pour la première fois durant les fêtes de fin d'année. Celui-ci est parfaitement bien situé, à 5 min des grandes artères commerciales et de la place du Duomo. Très propre, service du personnel au top, rapport prix/qualité impeccable

Hade en väldigt trevlig vistelse. Hotellet ligger väldigt bra till och vi hade kunnat åka tillbaka. Några saker att anmärka på i) våra vänner fick ett rum på 10e våningen och alla rum har dåliga isolerade dörrar, 10e våningen ligger precis vid baren så de fick inte så trevlig vistelse då de hörde musiken, gästerna men även när köket skulle städa ii) det gick inte att få tag på room service, vi testade ringa ner till receptionen men de bad oss fortsätta försöka, efter c30 försök så gick vi ner till baren och beställde och bar själva upp till rummet.. iii) de behöver nog anställa fler städare, tar väldigt lång tid innan de kommer och städar. Våra vänner kom tillbaka till rummet vid 17:30 och då var de inte klara. I övrigt var allt bra, vänlig personal, trevliga rum (förutom isolering, vi hörde också mycket från våra korridorer), okej frukost, klockren närhet till allt.

My partner and I stayed here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and our first trip to Italy. The location is central to most everything and the hotel is nice enough but I’m not sure I received the value I was hoping for. Our anniversary was unfortunately not acknowledged by the hotel despite me alerting them ahead of time. (-) There was no wine opener in the room for the wine we purchased at a local shop and had to to go down to the bar to ask for one and had someone follow us back to our room to collect it back as soon as we used it. The morning of check out, someone was cleaning our room as we were trying to pack up which was disorienting. (+) it’s a clean, nice space close to much of Milan. I called the front desk and they spoke with the cleaner and had her leave once they realized their mistake. The rooms are beautiful and clean. The roof hotel and bar is central and nice.

The hotel is in a perfect location and just a very short distance from the Duomo. The staff are very lovely and friendly and were so nice to us. It was my partner’s birthday and experiencing good customer service was very important to me. Our room was big with so much space including a huge walk in shower with marble flooring and tiling. The room and hotel were very clean and there was a luxurious feel about the place. In the lobby we walked in to a beautifully decorated large Christmas tree and a fancy digital screen. I would definitely stay here again when I visit Milan. There is a roof top bar but sadly we just didn’t get the time to visit this.
