Small Motel with great-sized rooms that included mini fridge/microwave, desk w/chair, and nice sized bathroom. Everything was clean and well-kept

Easy and fast check in, provide map and toiletries (shampoo and soap) at front desk. Walking distance from bus routes to UC Berkeley and Oakland downtown. Room was clean and quiet, good water pressure and temperature in shower. Great place to stay, affordable

The manager was very nice. It was hot but the fan kept me comfortable. The neighborhood is not as nice as other hotels but those are $100 more. I just wantes safe parking, comfortable bed, good tv and shower. Marina Inn has all these things. Great price. Thank you

Good place to crash for an evening after a show! Staff were nice, room was clean and parking lot if safe. No AC so if it were the peak of summer would be way too hot and sheets were pretty scratchy. But in a good spot and a pretty walk able area

If you're staying on University this is the one
We really enjoyed our stay at Marina Inn. Of the motels along University this hotel stands out. Clean roomy and friendly staff made our trip enjoyable. Only gripe was the size of the bathroom (which can't be helped) and the lack of an AC (they have a heater and a fan)

This is a basic room, well located, and worked for our one night stand. Clean and comfortable enough. Internet service was terrible and we believe it caused the I/O subsystem of my PC to lock up so bad that my wireless mouse no longer worked. Use the hotspot on your phone!

Comfortable and Excellent stay for the price
Was recently renovated very nicely. Had double pane windows so sun and heat was handled well. Traffic noise from University Ave was surprisingly not heard and parking was very adequate complete with surveillance cameras. Excellent stay for the price.

It was very uncomfortable not having air conditioner, specially in the summer I ended up going to a different hotel. It was hot and humid. I was told it was none refundable! ☹️

Much better than expected. The room was updated and very clean. Better than other name brand budget hotels i stayed in the past. But no AC. My wife was not happy about that but I was okay with a fan. But during summer, you may wish for AC. Not sure if they have heater. You may want to ask. Surrounding area was not too great. Walked in the morning to get breakfast. Many dangerous looking homeless walking around and also at donut shop and liquor stores asking for change. If you walk further up north toward UCB, then more lively with college students and stores/restaurants. The staffs were great and friendly.

Smells horrible, too loud to sleep and there’s no AC so even if it wasn’t so loud it was too hot to sleep. You have to keep the windows wide open in a high crime area for it to be 80 in the room.

We will return...
We were pleasantly surprised at this little gem. We needed rooms at the last minute for the Cal game and didn't want to spend alot just to sleep for one night. The staff was friendly and the rooms were very nice and clean. We will definitely use them again for the next game.
