"Wonderful stay"

"Good, quiet low-end resort, away from other resorts. Needs a refresh. Limited menu, has selection of day trips. Small private beach with good snorkeling 50m out at med/high tide. Very limited roads on Redang mean you can only scooter to Turtle Bay (where they hand feed turtles for the tourists). Had a great local bbq squid & tuna over a 44gal drum there."

"I had a great stay here. Initially, I was a bit hesitant to book this place due to previous reviews. But honestly, for a budget hotel it was great, and I would book again. The location was perfect, on the quieter side of the beach, but easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, and bars on the other side of the beach. "The property is one of the best property for Besar island in the price range. Pools are great facility if you have non swimmers with you. We had kids and they just loved it. Food was good for Non Vegetarians but being vegetarian, we faced trouble. Cook helped on day 1 with good friend rice on day 1 in complimentary breakfast but that was the only 1 item we got in vegetarian food, apart from juice and tea coffee. "Very basic place to stay but nice and clean. You get free water everyday. The bathroom is very basic, i wasn't expecting 5* so i wasn't disappointed with what we got. Short walk to the beach from the room we had. Trees over head full of fruit bats that screech during the night and early morning but not bad enough to disturb us too much.
