This was a very nice hotel with a very comfortable bed. Minor problems were that there was not enough room to store clothing and it was difficult to make the room cool enough. But I would gladly stay here again.
Large hotel. A bit dated but in good condition. Well equipped gym in terms of weights and a very good sized pool with lane swimming. Could do with another treadmill as hard to get on one in peak times in the evening. Overall a good big hotel for a business stay.
I did not like the fact that my room was a non-smoking room but the room was extremely smokey when I arrived. I did not complain, but I wont be staying there again. A 5 * hotel that advertises non smoking rooms should indeed supply rooms that don't wreak of smoke
Great View, clean room, breakfast bar is really nice.
Compared to other hotels in Beijing with price range, it is number one choice.
PS: make sure you ask for high floor, and facing the clock side.
Very comfortable hotel in a central area. I was there for a conference so it was super convenient. The service is attentive and the staff are welcoming. Very good breakfast buffet! There isn’t a lot to do right around the hotel, but there are several food and drink options within the hotel (the revolving Sky bar is fun).

Very tiny space (room and bathroom) even for the executive room price. Water from fountain is not drinkable. No iron +board for ironing clothes. Only instant coffee is offered in the room. Most of all, room is tiny, not much western food is offered at a reasonable price.
This was once a nice hotel but it is now old and in dire need of refurbishment everywhere; particularly, the furniture and the bathroom. And the carpet in the room is terrible!

Sleep but don't eat here
This is a good place to stay as it is very well placed as a base camp for urban exploration. It is a stop on the express bus from PEK to the Beijing Railway Station, on the @1 bus route that passes the Forbidden City. Near the anciuent Astronomy Museum and China Customs Museum. We did not like the food, but nearby are many restaurants. Tasty and inexpensive are the Imperial Noodle's and Sapporo Bakery, to name but a few.
The room is clean, the location is convenient. It is a good choose to stay in this hotel. The breakfast is a bit limited chance, quality could be better. Overall, it is a good stay.
I stay at this hotel every time when I visit Beijing since earlier 1990’s. The facility is good, but getting old. Good to notice the rerenovatiin is on going this time. Looking forward to my next stay with updateded room. The staffs are always very helpful in last 25 year’s. Convenient location.
This is a great hotel. Very clean. Great restaurants and swimming pool.
Unfortunately the staff speak very little English. Expedia indicates that hotel shuttle available from airport to hotel but need to call hotel prior. When we called, staff did not quite understand what we wanted. So we ended up having to take taxi to hotel and used Didi to get back to airport. The good thing was that the taxi and Didi cost was quite reasonable for the distance - 140 Yuan for taxi and 100 Yuan if you use Didi.
Friendly staff. Food was good. A little pricy but it beat walking around trying to find a place. The staff were very kind. Some didn’t speak English but most did. Room was nice. A bit small but that’s ok. I had requested a rollaway bed through Expedia. They had no idea what that even was. So don’t expect a rollaway bed if you request one. Other than that we had a good experience. We were only there for 3 days but it worked for us
This hotel is definitely over rated. It will be considered as a 3 star hotel in North America. Hotel facility is very cold and out of date. Other than that, everything is good. Hotel location is very central and there is a shuttle bus from the hotel to airport every half an hour.
I have stayed at this hotel several times and it is superior to any other hotel. In terms of cleanliness, service, and decor, it cannot be beat. The Gold level is the best value at any hotel and will satisfy the most exquisite taste. You will not be disappointed.
I've traveled to China before and I was amazed at how poor the English speaking was at this hotel. Some of the staff could not understand one word of English. And they were not nice about it--no service with a smile at all here. It was not just because it was Beijing. I stopped at other hotels there and staff was friendly and English-speaking. Of course, it is particularly ironic that this hotel called International was probably the least international hotel I've ever stayed in. It was extremely frustrating and definitely spoiled my stay in what is actually a very nice hotel physically.
First my room was not ready when i arrived at 3pm to check in. I was asked to wait 30 minutes while it was cleaned. Unfortunately there was no where to sit in the lobby unless i sat at the lobby bar. Finally get my room, they gave me a king bed instead of the 2 double beds i requested. Back downstairs to change the room. New room smelled like cigarette smoke, was dirty and old. The AC was stuck at 28 degrees centigrade so the room was sweltering all night long. Only good thing about this hotel was that it was the 3:30 am pick up site for a Great Wall run.
Henderson Shopping area and the bus to the airport made everything a lot easier. The hotel is very comfortable. Across the street from the Women's and children's museum.
Can't get ice in Beijing. A high commodity! All in all. A nice stay at hotel. Rotating Restaurant on top floor excellent. Buffet excellent. Not far from the square
Overall the hotel is overrated although it have the facilities. The room is a total letdown much touch up is needed. The toilet is old and the air conditioning need fixing as there it is making noise. The security of the hotel is a letdown where your access card can access to every floor of the hotel.

The hotel accommodations are good. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. The bathroom needed renovations as the tub was chipping and light fixtures missing. Smoking is allowed in the hotel and everything in our room smelled like smoke.
It was a pleasant experience! The location is excellent, on the same street as the Forbidden City and Tiananmem Square, close to the main railway station and in front of a major shopping mall where you find heaps of restaurants and a big supermarket. Clean and tidy, but we could not change the aircon temperature, unfortunately.

Near the Forbidden City
Nice if older hotel. A mile from Tianaman Square and the Forbidden City. Only regret is the AC is colder in the hallway than the rooms. But I'm told that's Beijing. I would return.
Nice hotel, close to air and ground transportation
Enjoyed the stay, lots of restaurents, close to Tiananmen square

Nice view and east access to everything
Nice hotel staff, easy access to everything of Beijing. There are a few things to be improved though, such as bad smell in the room, confusing directions to the gym (and back to the room) and inconsistent information about gym's open time.
There was no setting area in the lobby. Only a bar where you had to purchase a drink to set there. Very inconvenient when waiting for someone in the lobby.
