Last minute stay
Travelling throughout Europe, needed a last minute stay near Cologne, ideal location and to have breakfast included for the price was a real bonus.

I enjoyed my stay. However it was very difficult to exchange with one of the receptionist. A very tall lady with a veil. She was not helpful at all. I did not got to get her name.

The property was as clean as expected. The service was good and Breakfast was very good. I’m born in Germany, so when I travel back to Germany the Breakfast is very important to me.

The hotel was very nice, helpful staff. The breakfast which was included was amazing. The only bad thing is not enough parking spots sometimes. You need to come to the hotel early in order to get a spot.

Overall, I had a good stay. Comfortable room layout, good design and, located outside of the city, close to forest (a little bit of natu furnishings re), made it a relatively quite and tranquil stay (with minor flaws that'll be mentioned). I liked that I can adjust the heater to desired warmth so that I can come back to a warm and cozy room after a rainy day spent outside, it warmed my heart and felt at home. Some notes... loud fan noises even after turning bathroom lights off, the fan continues for an extended period of time, very loud. Zero to none sound insulation, basically can hear everything(such as flushing sounds, steps, talks), I was woken up by neighboring guest's packing and banging noises in early morning, it terrified me due to how loud, violent and clear it was. Three inconsiderate male chatted outside on the ground floor for consecutive nights, very late at night and greatly disturbed rest and sleep, with window closed, chatter/laughter/noises were clearly audible. Front desk staff could be more friendly and welcoming, it's understandable that hospitality was not present because of language barrier,

The staff and hotel was ok, there was no hot water for a shower The breakfast was cold (Bacon Egg & Sausages) We arrived at around 9:30pm and there was nothing available to eat, didn’t expect a cooked meal but you would think that would be able to supply crisps and nuts.

I was expecting a 4stars hotel but I can say it was just 1star. The first night we found blood on the Pillows and it was so shocking. The bed sheet and mattress was not clean, we could smell of smoke on that. The smell was so annoying and we couldn’t sleep for the first night. We asked for change the sheets but when we backed to the hotel that was smelly again. Two terrible night, I don’t know how they got 4stars for!!!!!! 😳😳😳😳

front desk service was awful and charge with parking fee. Not sure why the house keeper knocked on my door around 9 which wasn’t check out time? and wake me up and can’t went back to sleep which that was holidays still!!! Bad Service Manners!

they charged for parking upfront when I checked in, which is ok, however, they had no parking spot available, so I needed to park on the street on both days I stayed there. When I told them this, they said they cannot return their charge because they have no receipt of it. This was unbelievable, they just took my money without accounting it. It was not about the money but I just felt they were very unprofessional and felt sad about it.

The parking is very small, therefore it is needed to park on the street. Old hotel, thin walls as you could easily hear when the neighbors make love. 🙈 Elevator was not working at that moment so it was difficult for us with the luggage. In the bathroom, there was dirt and hair.

Good for the price
Considering the price this hotel is very good, however our room did leave some things to be desired; we had a view of a some bushes as our room was partly below ground so had little to no natural light in the room. There was also no full length mirror anywhere and the lighting was very dim. Also some strange decor. Again though for the price I am still quite pleased. Breakfast was quite good if a little over priced. Easily accessible by public transport. Receptionist at check in was a little rude but during our stay and at check out the other staff were very friendly.

Unfriendly receptionists, police atmosphere
very unfriendly receptionists, all of them. They radically refused to offer me a copy of the invoice, after I stayed in this hotel. They said to print it from Expedia, although was made from Hotels.com. Rude attitude and negative attitude. Even after 5 calls and 1 mail, no copy of my Invoice. Saying they are not allowed.

I traveled to Köln to experience the Carnival but decided to get a room for myself with some distance instead of a hostel close by. Welcoming was nice, fast check-in, and room was nice with a view to the rear. Room was nicely kept every morning.

Great stay
It was a stopover in the middle of a long journey from england to thailand in late December. It was comfortable and convenient. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The hotel is old but clean , staff is nice and breakfast is fine but it's in the basement in room without windows . it's not far from the city but you need a car and you will drive 10-15 min . It's quiet and it's nice to sleep with open window and get a fresh air .

Well positioned hotel for a short stay.
The reception staff were very friendly and helpful both day and night shift. The rooms were professionaly cleaned daily and were a good size. There is free parking and an elevator to help get the luggage upstairs. All in all a very good stay.

Hotel in a quiet suburb of Cologne.
Despite the hotel's name indicating that a stay here would be quiet, despite several requests to staff to close a door leading to several rooms including mine, the door remained open allowing any sounds from the reception and bar area to echo along the corridor and into the bedrooms. I suspect this door was also a safety/fire door that should be closed during the night. The hotel appears to have deteriorated since my previous stays when it was a family run hotel

Quiet Neighborhood.
Hotel is rated as four stars, i highly doubt it was rated recently. Rooms are hot and do not have AC. Beds are not comfortable, too hard for my taste. Rooms are small and pricey for the size. Rooms on the bottom floor are larger than room on the 4th floor. Parking is first come first serve, and if you are not in early, you will have to park on the street. Hotel is on a secluded area, restaurants are NOT within walking distance, you will need a car or taxi to get to them. There is a small shopping market within walking distance and a gas station with a convenience store.
