Beautiful Hotel
What a lovely hotel. It has a very colonial feel. The room was large, clean and comfortable. We stayed in an oceanview room. It was very nice.

Lovely hotel and rooms but isolated.
Really nice hotel building and rooms with a gorgeous pool area. However the location is not in a tourist area, there's nothing much around except some small supermarkets and restaurants for locals and the beach is black volcanic sand. There really was nothing to do except sit by the pool and admire the view. Aside from a large wedding party and maybe one other couple we seemed to be the only other guests. Because if the wedding party the only bar - aside from the restaurant was closed to any other guests, which really limited our options! Breakfast was a large buffet, although the western offering was quite limited. Unfortunately even though breakfast was served until 11am, at 10am we were disturbed by a call to our room asking if we were going to breakfast and if so what time were we going. Luckily we had just woken but I can't recall a hotel doing that before. Overall it's a lovely hotel but with nothing much around or in the hotel to do we wouldn't return. It's really more set up for large wedding party's.

Rumah Luwih is beautiful. Styled as a mansion by the sea rather than an impersonal hotel, it is easy to imagine you actually live in this enormous house. Stunning interiors and exteriors. The rooms are spacious and the staff are friendly. However, Rumah Luwih is very isolated and is 30 minutes minimum from anywhere and the hotel staff only offer their own very expensive transport options. There are taxis and Uber style services on offer but they often don't want to drive out this far. For this reason, I would not stay here again. If Rumah Luwih were more helpful providing free shuttles or competitively priced transport all day and night til 11pm, I might reconsider.

Even though the property is in the middle of the city, you feel like you are in a place of your own. Very peaceful and quiet, can't hear the traffic noise from the main street at all. Staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. Great place for relaxing and the view is awesome!

A shocking value!
While a little out of the way of many attractions the Rumah Luwih is a destination upon itself. A brilliant presentation at every level with an incredible attention to detail. The food was top notch and the service was better than I had come to expect in even the top hotels and restaurants. Fantastic pool, gorgeous grounds and plenty of room for anything your heart desires. I will absolutely suggest this to others.

Beautiful neo colonial style with 4 meter ceilings. Very luxurious with an old world charm. Seems to be popular for government meetings and weddings. Very good breakfast. Not much to do or see within walking distance but they do offer free shuttle service to Sanur and Ubud. Hotel is missing a bar and coffee station, but they do serve both on veranda. What i found most surprising, and disappointing was the hotel does not have any chairs on its balconies. Imagine staying at a luxury hotel with a balcony facing ocean and you can't sit outside and relax and breath in the ocean air.

A real gem in the island paradise of Bali
Quite possibly the best hotel experience I have ever had. Ok, so the hotel is a little out of the way, and if you want pulsating nightlife and a buzzing bar vibe until 4am this is not going to be the place for you, but if you want peace, quite, spend our and simply outstanding and friendly service then you must come here. The rooms are big, with expansive high ceilings, all amenities you’d expect and a big bathroom, stocked with complimentary toiletries. There a safe, tea and coffee, plus a complimentary mini bar, with drinks replenished daily. The on site spa is small but offers a good range of massage therapies at very low prices. The food is fabulous; choose Asian or international, and select a bottle of good wine or an aperitif to accompany your dining experience. You really should try the coconut too; a very refreshing alternative! The grounds are immaculate; the hotel faces the ocean (the sea is quite rough here but the black sand - trust me, it’s ok - is clean and plentiful) and there is a picturesque man made lake between the beach and a beautiful heated infinity pool, plus jacuzzi. There’s even a small kids play area, equipped with plenty to amuse the youngsters ( but far enough from the pool to disturb those who would rather not have the little ones running around). Special mention goes to the lovely staff, especially Tira, who really do go out of their way to make you feel special . They even opened up the restaurant an hour early just for us one morning! Fa!

Beautiful small resort
Beautiful British colonial style resort hotel. Very different ambiance from other typical resorts in Bali. Helpful and kind staff. Restaurant was excellent both service and food. Spacious and well decorated rooms. Beach wasn’t very attractive and needs to be cleaned. Regardless of a lot of package tourists there while I was staying and it ruined the beautiful atmosphere of the hotel a bit, I’ll definitely come back.

Hidden gem in Gianyar
The hotel was quite new and good atmosphere and we found one local restaurant nearby which is nice as well. The hotel is good for couple, family and surfers as it is located on surf spot in Gianyar. The facilities and amenities of the hotel were really nice in very good condition as well. This hotelnis like a hidden gem in Gianyar. Definitely worth every rp you spend

This was a return trip to this beatiful hotel and it is in the same imaculate condition as last year. The management were more than accommodating with a late check out, complimentary transport and met all special requests. On the service side the staff, without exception, were efficient and we experienced their delightful Balinese courtesy. The therapy treatments were rejuvenating and highly recommended. The restaurant is exceptional and we made full use of the terrace, adjacent to the restaurant. Delighted with all aspects of our stay and hope to revisit.

Fabulous Boutique Hotel
Really don't want to tell everyone about this lovely place and would like to keep it a secret but it very much deserves the praise. We had the most relaxing time here. It was everything we wanted in a hotel and our holiday. It felt very luxurious - our room was so beautiful with an ocean view and of the local day to day activities which were wonderful. The food was excellent and as a vegetarian I was catered for extremely well with no fuss. The staff were amazingly efficient, polite and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We wish we had spent all our time while in Bali in this place and not gone to other hotels in other areas. A free shuttle service took you to Ubud and Sanur & other day trips could be organised. We did a cookery class (just the 2 of us) with Executive Chef I Made Dwija & Ketut Ardana who were so helpful and patient to us novice cooks! We thoroughly enjoyed the fun of it and have our certificates and recipes to replicate our holiday. We would go back there right now if we had the opportunity.

Nice hotel, clean and well presented.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely dining for breakfast and dinner. (Didn't have lunch there) The pool is beautiful. The only negative is that it is some distance from the main areas of Bali, however, there is a shuttle bus. Loved our stay at Rumah Luwih.

Lovely Hotel and Staff
We came to this hotel because it was very close to the start line of the Bali Marathon, and we ended up adding an extra day. The hotel is away from traffic noise, which is a huge plus. It's a beautiful hotel with lovely staff and an unbelievably large breakfast buffet with great food and selection. Sitting outside eating breakfast overlooking the sea in the distance was a highlight. The pool is very refreshing and a nice relaxing area. We never really checked out the beach, but it did not seem like a great one for sunbathing or swimming. Also included in your stay are free shuttle rides to Ubud and Sukawati market. There are also free yoga classes, but we did not try it.

Excellent property with great professional staff. Staff were able to accommodate personal requests and make our staff positively memorable. Beautiful property on a relatively quiet stretch of Bali's beach. Very good restaurant in the hotel but few other good food options outside and nearby.

We spent 4 nights at this resort. Oh man!!!!! where should I start.... Hotel reception - cozy place - customized to suit all sorts of customer variety. It took us 24 hours to finally get to this destination and when we arrived, we have been greeted with one of the most friendly and "biggest " smiles ever. After 26 hours of travelling, the reception was ever called to be the greatest. I don;t have enough kind words to describe our experience. The restaurant and all other facilities are very clean. People are very friendly. They make you feel like home. Spa services is a "must try" The two ladies in control of the SPA are amazing. With vast experience in Turkey and around the world, they deliver one of the best experience. Just sit back and enjoy the relax. Infinite pool is the place to crash after dealing with such a long flight. The day trips offered by the Hotel are amazing. We have used Imin's services as our designated driver for our daily trips. What an amazing guy. If you go tho this Hotel, ask for Imin. He will guide you to your daily excitement trips and be the best guide person ever. From the luggage carries person, to the lovely Gardner that always greets you in the morning, to the management and beyond, all people are great. I strongly recommend this resort to you and your family, when you visit Bali.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff are among some of the best I've ever experienced and are the most happy, helpful and friendly no matter what time of day! The beachfront location and being away from the normal tourist areas mean that you get the proper Bali experience. The bedrooms are huge and air conditioned and are a welcoming place after a day in the sun. It's location is great for other places to eat but the hotel restaurant is exceptional and the food is an of an incredibly.high standard. We had a car to get around, but it's close enough to Ubud and the sights that taxis are not expensive but I recommend the freedom of your own car or scooter so that you can stop off in the nearby local villages that aren't tainted by the tourist trade. all in all this is one of the friendliest and most elegant hotels I've stayed in and it really helped to make a perfect holiday

Quiet Get Away
This is a perfect spot for a get-away from any sort of urban craziness. The location is some distance away from major tourist spots. Saying that, it also means it's bit tougher on getting taxi. However, I rather take the inconvenience than seeing a lot of tourist and cars.

A little piece of luxury
Me and my husband stayed here for 2 nights on our travels around bali and we loved it. The hotel was beautiful, clean, modern and styalish. The staff were so friendly and treated us like royalty. The pool was perfect with views overlooking the gardens and sea. My only complaint is we did not stay here for longer.

Serene getaway
Quiet area so ideal for couples/families looking for a getaway from the crowds of Seminyak/Kuta/Ubud. There are less than 80 rooms so we feel like we had the whole place to ourselves. Lots of room for children to walk around and explore. Stayed at the Arnawakanta Ocean View Suite with excellent view of Nusa Lembongan and sea, with sunrise view. But would recommend Level 2 for this room type, although Level 1 has higher ceiling but Level2 has greater view and distance from the garden in front. Staff at the restaurant was helpful, attentive and friendly. My daughter had a great time interacting with them. Only drawback is that there is only one restaurant which also serves the room service so if you stay more than 4 days like us, u might find a lack of food choices. The neighborhood also has no other tourist firendly food joints. ALthough the beach is not private, and villagers from nearby can be seen walking in front of u but there is security on guard which made us feel safe.

Couple staying at Rumah Luwih for 5 nights
I have booked a suite in Rumah Luwih Beach Resort for five nights. It was unforgettable experience at the resort. The suite ocean view was amazing. Staff were friendly and helpful. I have dined at the resort restaurant and tried the room service. Food was so yummy. Definitly will stay the hotel the next time I visit Bali.

Made my trip to Bail the breakfast was great all you can eat 7 to 11 pm.My room was large and very nice.And the staff was 5 star.

Hotel lovely.
Hotel was beautiful and staff were really friendly.. only downside was location. As it is quite far from most stuff to see in bali. But on a plus note, it is just a stone throw from bali safari and marine park.. all in all a nice hotel. Just a little too quite for a stay of two weeks.

Great hotel!
Set amdist rice farms and the beach this colonial themed resort provides great comfort, service and attention to detail. though a little far from the hustle bustle of areas such as ubud, the property more than makes up for it in terms of service and different activities provided. the rooms are spacious, comfortable and with great views.

Romantic and Scenic Experience
Love the architectural and interior designs. Very friendly staff and excellent service from front desk to room service. We got discounted price when we upgraded our rooms upon arrival. Breakfast spread is delicious. Enjoyed the heated infinity swimming pool and Jacuzzi. Will definitely recommend any honeymooners or those who wish to get away from the other busy beach resorts in Bali.

Fantastic new 5-star hotel at cheap intro prices
My wife and I found a gem of a new hotel to spend our anniversary. If you like being accosted to buy something when you walk out of your Bali hotel, this is not the hotel for you. If you like quiet luxury, an incredible view over beach/ocean, staff who can't do enough to make your stay as comfortable as possible, air con that works, food that is fantastic, then this is a hotel for you. Situated on the Lebih black sand beach (stunning) in Gianyar, this new hotel is awesome. We stayed 8 days and did not want to leave. Harold and his staff do everything possible to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Superb massage therapists are on site, breakfasts are 5-star amazing (sit outside for amazing views), free shuttles to Ubud and Sanur plus drivers at taxi rates to take you anywhere, rooms made up twice a day, food in the restaurant ranges from very good to OMG kapow quality, the pools are beautiful, and the rooms are spacious and luxurious. Gardens are still undergoing improvements and there are more projects on the go when we were there to make the hotel even better. We highly recommend this hotel and we will be back in January and April. I wish I could show you more photos of how gorgeous it is.

Positiv: - Hatten über das Hotel einen kostenpflichtigen Flughafen Transfer gebucht. Wir wurden herzlichst von dem Fahrer Imin am Flughafen empfangen. - Die Freundlichkeit des Personals im Restaurant. - Es ist am Meer (kein Badestrand) Negativ - Scharben und Ameisen im Zimmer, Pool Liegen verdreckt, Handtücher und Bettwäsche schimmliger Geruch. - es gibt keinen kostenlosen Transport in die Umgebung, keinen kostenlosen Transport in den Freizeitpark,keine Yoga Stunden (dies wurde so beworben und war ein Hauptgrund für die Hotelwahl) - Lage des Hotels ist sehr schlecht, keine Gegend in der man sich als Urlauber wohlfühlt. - Ein Blatt Papier hat einen besseren Schallschutz als das Zimmer. - Nachdem wir fragten ob wir eine Rückerstattung bekommen und früher abreisen können wurde dies verneint. - Ich würde niemanden empfehlen das Hotel zu buchen mehr Schein als Sein. Oberflächlich sauber wenn das Housekeeping da war. Vieles wurde einfach nicht geputzt in unserem Zimmer. Einfach widerlich wenn man überlegt das das Zimmer so geputzt wird bevor ein neuer Gast anreist. - Wurden an den ersten zwei Tagen vom housekeeping und einer Pumpe in dem Tümpel vor dem Zimmer geweckt (6.45 Uhr/ 7.00 Uhr) danach von den Schulkassen (Hostel Atmosphäre) - Die Rezeption Managerin meinte sie hätte uns ein Upgrade in ein extra leises Zimmer gegeben -> hat sie nicht wir hatten für eine junior suite mit Meerblick bezahlt.

Sehr schönes Hotel, leider sehr abgelegen.
Ein sehr schönes Hotel mit einem traumhaften Pool und sehr sehr freundlichem und zuvorkommendem Service. Leider gibt es in der Nähe so gut wie gar nichts ausser einer Schnellstrasse. Am Strand kann man nicht Schwimmen. Am Wochenende gibt es Hochzeiten im Hotel, welche ziemlich laut werden können. Die Zimmer sind groß und hell, Klimaanlage, Kühlschrank, heisses Wasser, Fön, alles funktioniert einwandfrei und ist in sehr gutem Zustand. Die Minibar wird täglich kostenlos mit Snacks und Softdrinks aufgefüllt. 2 Mal in der Woche gibt es kostenloses Yoga und es gibt auch ein kleines Gym. Das Restarant ist okay, jedoch sind die Portionen recht klein. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist dafür der Wahnsinn! Große Auswahl und super Qualiät des Essens! Das Personal ist sehr sehr freundlich. Zum Entspannen optimal, jedoch wurde es mir schnell langweilig.
