"The hotel is situated in a beautiful, quiet location with stunning views of the loch from the lounge and dining room. The staff were friendly and helpful but service at evening dinner was very slow at times. The hotel is small and was built about 10 years ago. It appears to have been originally well specified at the time but, being hyper- critical, 10 years' use is starting to show up now in places. Nevertheless we would be happy to stay again, especially if the perfect weather could be...

"These are essentially glamping pods. They are so nicely designed and decorated. Very cozy. They even had face clothes, the only hotel on the entire trip that did. I have learned to pack my own for trips to the UK. The only downside was that we had to park in a car park and walk up a hillside on uneven gravel to reach the unit. They took our luggage up in a golf cart. But they wouldn't offer a ride to us. As seniors, it was a bit of a drawback for us."

Tasteful, intimate and warm haven

"We chose Hame for its fairly central to Skye, but not-in-a-town location, and were not disappointed. The drives to and from it were stunning, the complimentary breakfast and optional dinner were top-notch, the staff was friendly, the nearby town of Dunvegan had plenty of food options, and we could day trip to hikes and sights like Point Neist & The Fairy Pools. The one bummer is that the management decided to book small bus tour groups Thurs-Sunday, in a small place like this that meant they dominated the dining room, but we went and ate in the living room or on the porch (see photo of view)"

"A lovely little cottage on Uig Bay owned by the hoteliers of the Uig Hotel. A wonderful breakfast was included at the hotel a 10-15 minute walk away. Our room had an ensuite and a beautiful view of the bay. Parking was easily accessible. Information on dining, historic places, hikes, pubs, etc. was readily available from the hotel staff. Service & staff were exceptional. If there was ever a place to get lost & press the reset button, the Isle of Skye was it for us! Enchanting."

"The hosts, Stuart and Janet, have an incredible desire to make sure that their guests are well prepared to enjoy the local culture by sharing their extensive knowledge of the area, and ensuring that guests are very well fed in the morning, having many delicious and home made options to select from. The rooms are spacious, very clean, fresh, and have many thoughtful touches not often found in the hospitality industry. The “sun” room is a wonderful place to end the day with your favorite beverage while making new friends and enjoying the views. There are ample family owned restaurants within a short walk. The Tables is also a great hub for day tripping all over Skye. Thank you Stuart and Janet for your warm hospitality!"

"It's a super wonderful experience for me and my wife staying here. Ian and Christine are really treating guests with their thoughtful hearts. An attached private lounge for us is a big wow surprise, way beyond our expectations. We enjoyed the comfy bed and delicious breakfast very much! Ian also recommended us some hidden gem locations which we added in our itinerary, it's eye-opening and give us super different experience. We love this place and regretted not booking more days here and look forward to coming back in future."
