We checked in late (10pm) following a late flight and were assigned a room in "District 2". To get to the room took 2 turns down long corridors and was all the way to the end of the corridor next to fire exit. The walk was through a dimly lit, gray hallway, with tortilla chips strewn along the carpet like a 30-chip breadcrumb trail. Opening the door to the room was utterly depressing. The "deluxe" room felt more cramped than a Motel 6, was dark, and had a narrow window facing a dark concrete wall.
We returned to the check-in desk to see if there were alternate "deluxe" rooms available that were less dark and depressing and were told this room matched all other deluxe rooms in size ("three hundred sq ft"), but that one with a view of the pool could be purchased for an additional $30 per night. I asked if there was a difference among the "districts" and was told that the District 3 was newer but fully booked. (I coincidentally heard two other parties in the reservations line mention they were attempting to change rooms or leave.)
My guess is that there are other much better and nicer deluxe rooms in the hotel as I had read positive reviews about LINQ, but following that initial experience and the lack of empathy or interest from the late check-in, I will never attempt to stay at the LINQ again.
The one redeeming thing that raises this review to two stars from a single star is that Jennifer in reservations helped see that I got a full refund following immediately checking out.
