"Had an impromptu night away over Bank Holiday. We picked the 1st sunny weekend and Matlock was packed with tourists. The hotel is nice, reception were very pleasant and helpful. Room was spacious and clean. TV didn't work, but we weren't in the room to watch TV. My only small complaint is the bar ..."

"We had a really relaxing time at Robin Hood Tower. It is perfect for walks along the canal but also close to lots of wonderful Derbyshire countryside. Our host Steve was full of helpful information and pointers. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again - in fact we didn’t want to go home!"

Lovely, clean but just a few niggles.....
"The plus side: Nice clean cottage, welcome basket with fresh bread, haribo sweets, wine. Flowers on table, tea, coffee, sugar and even treats for the dog. Sky/netflix. Bed very comfy. Nice white towels. Good communication from owner. 2 local pubs- the Nelson ...no food gd beer. Rising sun, pub grub. ..."
