Property is old and definitely needs a make over . The building is conveniently located across from Penn Station . Unfortunately the hotel can’t do anything about the crowd hanging on its vicinity.

The location was great. The hotel is old, small rooms, dirty, old bathroom, no refrigerator or coffee maker, no complimentary water. They need to renovate all rooms. Don’t stay here! I have stayed in better hotels in Manhattan, at better prices, facilities and close to everything.

Beautiful locations, we didn’t like no fridge , no coffee machine. The water in the shower kept dripping, we couldn’t do anything. I told them about it. Didn’t get fix. The cleaning staff is excellent housekeeping is fantastic.

We love historic hotels and the "NEW YORKER" sign was the only one in Manhattan visible from NJ when I was growing up in the 1960s. It's been marvelously restored and was comfortable with all the services one might have expected in the 40's or 50's. But it is midtown Manhattan, noisy and crowded, definitely the 'city that never sleeps." We would stay again!

I like position of the hotel. Very close to city centre. But rooms and building are little old and look old. What I did not like at all was shower at the hotel room: whater could not be adjusted to right temperature, it did swith from very hot to very cold. No way in the middle.

The only positive thing about this hotel is the location. It is conveniently close to Penn station and there are a variety of subway stops. I still don’t understand why there is a resort fee when my family and I didn’t get a resort experience. They offer the bare minimum, not even complimentary water or coffee in your room. The rooms seem like they were left in 1992 and are in desperate need of a renovation. This is not the place to stay beyond 2 nights.

The room was very small and the view was the other side of the building. The bathroom was clean with thick towels. The shower pressure was great with endless hot water. The hallway carpet was dull and dark as well as the carpet in the hotel room. The TV was the left of the bed instead of directly in front of the bed. The mattress was a bit lumpy. I could hear the noise from the street at night on the 26th floor. The location is excellent near Macy's and other retail stores plus the 34th street bus line, subways 1,2,3, A, C, 7, and Amtrak. Customer service staff Hilary was so accommodating, helpful, welcoming, and made checking in a breeze especially since I was tired. The restaurants are good but pricey. I will definitely stay here on my next trip to NYC.

The space is very small. There’s some basic amenities missing that would be available in any hotel is say, Japan. The towels had holes and rust stains. It’s just super outdated. Otherwise, the location is outstanding.

The bathroom had no soap.I went to the desk to get some and was told the staff would bring it to my room I explained I had Parkinson's and wanted to take my medicine and go to sleep not wait for a staff member to bring it to the room.Understanding that the soap was in another room I got veryinsistent and told the person at the desk I would not leave until I received it After 15 minutes,it finally appeared.The women at the desk got me so frustrated I had to yell This is mediocre customer service.

Location is great if you are coming in from the train and very easy to get to many locations from the area. It is very outdated, rooms are very cramped, and you can hear everything going on from the rooms next to you, from when they shower, use the bathroom, just moving around. Not sure if I would stay there again with the price paid and the fees paid at the hotel.

The room they put us in was half the size of what Expedia said it was (which wasn’t big). The bed took up the entire room except for about a foot around each side of the bed which you could kind of walk through if your suitcase was in the bed. There was a small closet we could have stored our suitcase but it looked dirty and gross inside so our suitcase was in the bed during the day so we could walk around the room. The bathroom was clean but in disrepair. The water would be warm and then go scalding hot for no reason and then back to normal. We would have expected so much more for over $300 avg per night. Luckily, we weren’t in the room much…

I stayed here for a quick trip to NYC and although the location is great as it is right across from Penn station and walkable to time square, the hotel itself was a let down. The room was very small and you could hear everything from the hallways and neighbouring rooms. The hallways were also dingy. My keycard didn’t work when I checked in so I had to go back down to reception and then call security when it still did not work. I would not stay here again in the future.

The hotel is amazing! Very clean, staff is super nice, gym is incredible. The location is the only thing that is not the best but this is my personal opinion. You have a metro right in front so makes things easier.

It is not easy to actually find a decent Hotel close to the Convention Center. They are all run-down. The New Yorker was ok... I expected the rooms to be a little bigger. The 2 Queen bed one it tight but the beds were comfortable and clean. The bathroom is tiny and there is no counter or shelf. There was one tiny shelf that fit our toothbrushes and toothpaste. Be prepared to hear the sirens of NY constantly. That was the first hotel I stayed in where I could hear them as if they are right next door even though the room was on a higher floor.

The staff of the property is wonderful. The hotel per se is an Art Deco jewel which is very nice. As per the hotel rooms, ours was very outdated and the bed (mattress) was terrible, really uncomfortable
