I would stay again but this being my first time staying at Park Place, I was disappointed. I booked well in advance to arrive on the last day of school (niece, 12 and son, 11) and a friend tagged along. We paid the premium price for oceanfront. We like to stay on the boardwalk and people watch from the balcony but we’re disappointed when we saw the view. We had room 310 and though you can see the ocean and sand, Everything between the balcony and the sand is obstructed by the rooftop of the bar/restaurant below. When you sit on the balcony, you’re directly facing a bright blue metal roof. I will post a picture if it allows on here. You have to look right or left to see down the boardwalk, but cannot sit outside and see anything but that roof and ocean far out.
There no ventilation/fan of any kind at all in the bathroom. There was a heat light which served no purpose. We were having to shower with the door open, at least a foot so that it could be tolerable. Even taking cold showers everything is fogged up and wet in there.
One other thing, there is no mirror in the hotel room. The only mirror available is in the bathroom, which posed an issue for three females trying to get ready. Luckily, my friend had a hand mirror that she brought But I didn’t realized how necessary a mirror in the room can be - with make up or drying your hair in the sauna bathroom.
My brother & fam stayed in 306 and had mirror, bathroom vent, the better view (but right over the smoking area).
