LOCATION: This is the closest hotel fronting USJ, 2mins walk to the front gates. Considering our situation where we have a young kid and we want to get in line early, this is definitely the recommended option! Surrounding this hotel is a shopping plaza w/ restaurants, family mart(?) and the station. Very convenient. Actually all the hotels around here are just as convenient, but this hotel is definitely the closest. ROOM: Stayed at the "Standard City View Twin Room" Upon entering the room we have one immediate impression, it's very big for Japan-standards! It's a bit outdated but everything seemed clean. We got a complimentary upgrade to 3-beds (from 2-beds) w/o asking so that was really awesome! The AC controls were great and blackout curtains were effective. We had front view of the park too which was nice as one of the roller coasters come close to that side. We also were able to see how crowded it was in the morning before we left the room. SERVICE: No complaints here, all the ground staff we encountered were polite, professional, and spoke fluent English. We noticed that there was a staff standing in the middle of the floor looking around to see if anyone needs assistance or have questions. She helped us with our luggage hold and some of our questions; a very pleasant interaction! TIPS: The only thing to note is that they do not offer bottled-water. Instead there is a water fountain on each floor (?) where you can refill your bottle. STAY AGAIN?: Yes!

Loved the location for USJ. Bed was really comfortable. The one frustration we had was the laundry facilities. There is only one per floor from the 4th floor to the 25th floor if I’m remembering correctly? But other people from different levels can come to your level to use the laundry facilities. So we had to change floors several times to check which washing machine was available. Inefficient and felt a little unsafe because anyone could access whichever of these floors.

The entrance to this hotel is literally right off the universal city train line. Staff was very attentive. They spotted us coming in with our luggage and jumped in to get us to where we needed to go. We did a park view superior room which was awesome. We could see the whole park (and the entrance lines). The bathrom/shower facilities are interesting to use, but I’m already missing them. Room wise my only complaint is the beds are a bit hard, not much cushion for a big guy, but I did sleep well. Noise was a minimum. The combo washer/dryer ice machine room was just a few doors down. There was a cold water machine as well which was great for filling water bottles. We did use the washer/dryer unit. Caution here it takes a minimum of two hours and one of our loads took 3 hrs to dry completely so plan accordingly. We included breakfast in our room rate, which was a great experience too. Lots of options and they had these ice cream filled pastries that we are still talking about. We also stayed at the Universal port hotel a few days afterwards since we were done with the park. It was ok but not the same Caliber as the park front hotel. Hope this helps!!
