2 nights in Lillestrom
Convenient location directly across from metro station to Oslo Center and Oslo International Airport, each only 1 stop in either direction. The windows in the room were weird because they were high up on the wall, cannot see outside. No air conditioning in room and it got pretty warm overnight. Bed comfortable, room spacious. Great breakfast, big selection, well stocked, one of the best we saw on our trip. Staff was mostly helpful.

Breakfast buffet amazing. Train express option from airport great and nearby. We had a problem TV which kept switching off but NO English channels not even CNN or BBC world news.

I stay here every month. The staff are SO nice. The bar has exceptional drinks and bar eats. The hotel is clean and modern. The beds and pillows are COMFY. The hotel is directly across from the train station — so I can get to the airport in ten minutes flat. I love this hotel and all of the staff.

This is a cosy and delightful hotel. The room made us feel at home and the breakfast is amazing. One of the best hotels we’ve been during our trip to Scandinavia.

Scandic Lillestrom
Ideally situated hotel for getting into Oslo and visiting family in Lorenskog. Both train and bus station within a few minutes walk. Amazingly comfortable bed (wish I could have taken it home!) Breakfast was plentiful and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating if they tried. Will definitely stay here on our next visit.

Worst Hotel Experience Ever
This was the worst hotel experience ever for me. It ruined my family’s Christmas and was very upsetting. It was so bad I had to upgrade and change rooms 5 times with my family. The heating/ventilation system didn’t work in the winter, can you imagine? Meanwhile we had a 7 month old with us. According to them their systems had a bug and they didn’t have a contingency plan. Couldn’t get hold of technical help either and pretended they didn’t know. All their systems were on one network meaning a single point of failure so anything happens and everything goes down. No heating, no tv, no telephone. It was unbelievable! In the end we stayed in a special room for the handicapped which was setup to have a higher temperature than others to get through the holidays. They apologized and refunded some of my money but it’s not about the money. That was me and my family’s Christmas ruined. I thought a hotel built just over a year or so ago would have better plans, better systems, better equipment etc. but I was just a dreamer. Aside the problems, the rooms have terrible lightening. The hotel is meant to have a dark modern theme I think, but in my opinion, give people the light and let them decide whether they want it or not. The breakfast was terrible and even cutlery wasn’t comfortable to use because of how they look. What happened to nice looking stainless steel cutlery? In a nutshell, I’ve been to quite a few hotels in Norway but this is the only one I’ve had to think NEVER EVER AGAIN!

I have been to lots of hotels, but I was very satisfied with this hotel! I did like the room we got - and it was a comfort bed and comfy place for my boyfriend, myself and my son - he got his own bed. I did also enjoy the breakfast. And most of all: The collection of caps in the reception :)

Nice with short trainride to Oslo
Right by the railwaystation still quiet rooms. Nice staff and the best breakfast! Close to Lillestrøm city center and only 10 min by train to Oslo.

Fabulous hotel, but the restaurant let it down
The Scandic Lillestrom is excellent. This will be my hotel of choice any time I visit Lillestrom for business. The rooms and bathroom are first class. The front desk team are also excellent. I even tried the small but well equipped fitness room. The fact that the hotel is 100m to the train station is an unexpected wonderful bonus. I can’t see Lillestrom as a holiday destination, (at least not that I could see) but an excellent base to explore from. It is well located to Oslo and the airport. Here’s the only reason why I can’t give the Scandic Lillestrom 5 stars: The Bruket Restaurant. They are so close to being excellent, but the portion sizes are cheap and miserly. Don’t get me wrong, the food was exceptional, but you really hope there’s a MacDonalds nearby. I have my doubts that my scallop Starter was even a whole scallop. I have had beef cheeks many times before, so I knew what I was expecting, but the portion size was embarrassing for this restaurant in this price range. It was served with some unimaginative vegetables (carrot, cauliflower and potatoes). The waitress was 5-star. She could see I was disappointed and offered to bring me more of the cheek. I was embarrassed to accept her offer, and ate all the bread and potatoes to avoid a trip to MacDonalds.

First time to Norway
3 nits: bathroom shower was just a moveable curved piece of glass, so water got all over the bathroom. Also in summer kitchen closes at 10p even though sun is just down and lots of people are out at the bar. Should close at 11p. Also WiFi kept having to re-auth every morning.

Close to train and bus station. Many restaurants within walking distance. The hotel's breakfast buffet was excellent! 15 minutes by train to the airport and to downtown Oslo.

I stayed here for one night on my recent business trip. The hotel is situated pretty close to a station and it goes directly to the airport - very convenient. Friendliness of staff was inconsistent. Was going to grab a beer and snack at the bar, but was totally ignored so instead waited for the dinner service at the restaurant side to start instead. Room was comfortable enough. I loved that the TV already had the HDMI cable conveniently laid out, in case guests wished to connect their own devices. Very good attention to detail!

Poor experience, extremely expensive and not great value for money! Avoid the rooms without eye-level windows they are absolutely terrible and should be accepted by any customer, they are also more expensive. I think the hotel staff are friendly and heplful. For a new hotel it is far from good, stay at the Thon or in town.
