Staff were always very helpful, nice rooms, everyone friendly and food was fine, so as a hotel it was v good with nice pools that were always clean. Sadly the beach was disappointing, very eroded so only a tiny area to swim and that had large rocks. Public beaches nearby were much better. Not sure if we were just unlucky but was too windy all week to use any water equipment which was one of our reasons to choose Royal Hasciendas. Note that they don't have sailing dinghies or catamarans for hire.

The food was delicious and the staff were very attentive to a food allergy in the group. If I could change one thing it would be to have more music by the pool areas.

We were first greeted by, who was suppose to be our Concierge for the week we were staying. He was friendly, and told us about how he was going to scheduled our dining plans for the 2 restaurants that tend to stay busy since he knew we were coming for my birthday, and our 14 year anniversary. I had also requested a crib for my youngest, which he said he would bring one up asap. Well, it turns out he quit, so he didn't bother to tell us that he scheduled us for the steakhouse the following day at 5:30 pm., nor did he bring a crib. I had to call the concierge, who then told me it would be $50 to re-schedule or move our appointment, but mind you, we didn't even know it was scheduled to begin with since the person quit without notice. they didn't give us a courtesy call to remind us of the reservation that was made for us by the concierge, and we kept having to work with different people at the front desk to get the information we needed. at times it was a friendly face, at times, it was someone you could tell did not know what i was asking, nor did he know how to answer and made things very confusing. Overall, it was okay. Just wish they would of also told us that they would be charging gratuities after our stay [when I was tipping every person after their service to me or my family.]

After you check in, they start trying to sell you a timeshare to the property. Heavy push to do the 90 minute presentation. The beach is unusable. Seaweed washed up at all times. Red flag on beach, no swimming all week that we were there do to brown water seaweed for the first 30’ of water.

This was my second time coming here with my family, we really enjoyed the property and the service. The only complain I have is when making reservations. They say you have to make them the day of but when I asked if i could make it for the following day they said NO!! But on the day before my last day they said they could do that !! I would’ve greatly appreciated if they said that the day I checked in ! I was furious

Very clean, awesome room, bed was nice, room service was great….The grounds were well maintained and the pool was nice. Staff was exceptionally good. Food was average but I would definitely recommend.
