We did not stay in Rovaniemi but did walk there 1 day which was about 6km. It seemed ok and the people seem extremely friendly.
I would definately recommend the e-fat bike rides in the forest; either with or without a guide. We went without a guide and had a great time. We used Roll Outdoors to hire the bikes.
My partner and I really enjoyed Rovaniemi, everyone seemed really helpful and kind and we didn’t feel unwanted. It was really easy to book tours and the guides were very helpful and accommodating.
Public transport was quite efficient and very reasonably priced.
