The local area is touristy but a bit out of the way of public transport like transJogja and requires a few blocks to walk to where footpaths are extremely dangerous. The only real downside was the cigarette smoke filling the room at night and making it difficult to breathe. Smoking in venues is still a thing in Indonesia."

"I was booked the hotel for my friend, he told me his stay at AlZara hotel was fine, pretty basic 3 star hotel. Very disappointing that they did NOT serve breakfast, you have to order via online food delivery. The staff are friendly enough, even though they staring at you sometimes, because obviously not many western stay in the hotel. "
