What I did like about this place is the rooms are clean. Non smoking casino. The walls are thick, wasn’t able to hear next door. A few things I dislike, not enough towels for the pool area. Parking sucks, was not impressed with the breakfast. My husband and I came across Racist people who also stayed there.

The staff member that checked us in didn't seem to know where anything in the area was, claimed he lived in Surrey so he didn't know the area. If you work in Richmond at a hotel, I feel like you SHOULD know where things like a convenience or liquor store is near your hotel. Also, the free parking is VERY far away and the staff member that checked us in also didn't ask if we had a vehicle to register or check in. We ended up going back to the desk when our friends vehicle arrived and that is when he told me that we didn't need to register it etc. and where the free parking was, not at check in. Would have saved me standing in line again to get this information.

Here are the pros of this hotel. - close to Richmond night market (which is why we intended on staying here) - pool area for the kids - clean rooms - nice valet attendants Here are the pros of this hotel - lack of personality from the front desk staff (during my check in, I have mention 3 times it was my first time staying at the resort. None of those times, did she offer to give me a map of the hotel even tho it is small. But at least be informative. At the end I asked for the map.) - Racism. my friends whom stayed there with us. We’re in the elevator, speaking our language (not English) to discuss where to go eat. 2 Caucasian girls in the elevator whom we do not know said “Ching Chong”. We laughed it off, mind u I am an Asian American. - food court was meh - breakfast at the buffet was definitely a NO! I would not recommend this place to my friends. But if you want a clean resort and nice pool area then could be for you. I will never stay here again… pool and clean rooms don’t beat the lack of customer service and rude guests.

I don’t usually write reviews. It was a disappointing stay for us. The parking was far. We lugged our things for about a block and half from the parkade to the hotel. There was only ONE working elevator on a busy May long weekend. The pool did not have any towels for the guests. The food choices were surprisingly limited. No one answered the phone at the front desk. For the price we paid… I was really expecting a much better experience.
