A wonderful hotel that was a highlight of our 6-day trip to Northern Arizona. Our room was spacious, well appointed and spotlessly clean. The gardens, museum, and art galleries were fabulous, along with friendly, helpful staff and a first-class restaurant. We won't hesitate to rebook should our travels take us back to Winslow.
We absolutely loved the history and furnishings and walking around enjoying all the art. So many books and crannies filled with books and paintings. Loved the little bookstore and gift shop. Our room was very comfortable and unique. Highly recommend.
We found La Posada magical. The hotel is gorgeous, with guest seating areas in beautiful rooms galore. Our guest room was captivating with a king bed, couch and seat, and desk.Windows opened and we delighted in a thundershower as we relaxed in the room. We also had a nice jacuzzi in the bathroom.
Dinner at the restaurant was over the top! Unrivaled food and service just as great. We will definitely make La Posada a regular place of refuge.
This was our third stay at La Posada. Each time we discover things we hadn’t seen before. This is a remarkable place saved from destruction and restored so guests can experience its history and charm. We had a very good dinner and enjoyed listening to the guitarist after. The huevos rancheros for breakfast—outstanding. If you want your hotel to be memorable and not just a place to sleep stay at La Posada.
We have been touring the famed Harvey Hotels for a few years now and La Posada is by far the crown jewell. What a gorgeous hotel. The staff was friendly and our only complaint, is the same complaint we had at the other gorgeous Castaneda, the mattresses. maybe it's us. we are used to memory foam, however, the poor sleep did not take away from our delicious dinner in the turquoise room, or the stunning grounds.
I admired how much effort it must have taken to retrofit the property with precise furnishings of the original era decor. I also respected the paintings although it didn’t fit the era of the hotel, I didn’t mind the anachronism.
Historic railroad hotel/stayed between Amtrak legs
We stayed here between legs on the Amtrak. Nice comfortable place to rest and recharge and eat great food. I appreciate that they put out a nice coffee spread (and hot cocoa) at 5 am for the train folks leaving so early.
What a hidden gem. There is so much history and character in La Posada. The art work in our room was amazing. Mirrors, lampshades, wall hangings. Our room was spacious and clean. Very pet friendly too. The train runs right outside but I didnt hear anything. We came in the cold of winter so the gardens werent at their best but the summer must be colorful and fragrant. The food in the Turquoise Room was top shelf! We ate Dinner and breakfast there. Definitely recommend La Posada.
We ran into a snow storm and couldn’t get to our next destination. We ended up “stuck” in Winslow and grabbed a room at La Posada. Was the best thing that happened to us! We loved our time
In the restaurant, playing a game by the fireplace and listening to the halter of the inn from the guitar player.
La Posada is a beautiful hotel, restored extremely well to the beauty of a Fred Harvey Hotel, built by Mary Jane Coulter. The service was excellent at every level, the restaurant wonderful and the comfort perfect. We have been there before and, we shall certainly return
Our stay at La Posada was wonderful! The building history was interesting, the staff was helpful, the art work by the owner was one of a kind, the nightly guitar player was soothing to listen to - the short stay we had at the hotel was a very unique but amazing experience! We will definitely be going back next time we are traveling through Arizona!
The staff was amazing! We had our puppy, Charlie, with us and every time Charlie and I went for a walk, we had to go thru the Reception area, whoever was on duty wanted to be sure Charlie got a treat! The waitresses in the dining room we very nice and helpful. Overall a totally enjoyable stay. We would return and highly recommend it.
