"Building badly run down, not maintained, lights broken, reception desk screen and light broken. No working taps in bath or shower, cockroach in bathroom. Shaved old hair stuck on towels. Basin drain stank! Smoke detector wires hanging from ceiling. Plug sockets not working properly. Would avoid at all costs! "

"The hotel was undergoing renovations, of which we had not been informed. Our room had a single desk lamp...no overhead lights, no bedside lamps. I was using a penlight to read. The walls were completely bare. The shower had the lowest water pressure I've ever seen; the tub was sloped; the drain wasn't even fixed into the tub; and most of the bath towels had a strong chemical odor to them. There was one small trashcan in the bathroom and that was it. They had Fox News on in the lobby during breakfast hours on Saturday. They charge $5 for WiFi, unless you're a Rewards member...I've never heard of a hotel doing that. If we had been given some kind of discount for the inconvenience, it might have helped. As it is, the only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of one is because most of the staff were very friendly."
