Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und die Lage direkt im Zentrum war perfekt für unseren Aufenthalt. Das Zimmer ist allerdings relativ klein und es gab keinen wasserkocher oder eine kleine Küche wo man sich was hätte zubereiten können.

Our room and the dining room were wonderful but we happen to be there when they were remodeling large areas of the hotel. From the looks of it, the hotel will have even a more amazing dining as well as an outdoor area.

We understand they’re going through some renovation, but compared to the main photos in the listing, we were expecting a different experience. Our room was slightly outdated compared to the main photos that were shown in the listing (photo 40/60 on the listing). The bed was extremely comfortable - the blackout curtains let in some light but overall did a good job. Overall it was a good hotel for the price point and the location was great right in the centre of town.

Affittacamere in piena zona pedonale e a due passi a piedi dal porto dove partono le escursioni per l’avvistamento delle balene, intorno ci sono parecchi parcheggi a pagamento gratis il week end. La camera era di giuste dimensioni, silenziosa. Zona comune per potersi preparare un caffè/the o colazione veloce. Il check in si esegue al bar/ristorante sotto le camere. Buono sia il bar che il ristorante con prezzi in linea al contesto. Rapporto qualità prezzo bilanciato.

Room was great. Parking indicated on site but it’s in a public parking lot across the street that’s only free before 10:00 and after 16:00. We had to walk through the entire restaurant to get to the checkin counter at the bar, but the room was nice and clean. Lots of shopping and food options nearby

Very central location. Sylvia was very accommodating. We had a medical emergency during our travels. We were only supposed to be one night in Akureyri which turned into 5. Sylvia went out of her way to make me comfortable. She moved other guests around to make us comfortable. All the rooms I had were luxury looking and very modern and up to date. I totally 100% recommend!!

It was our first time to Akureyri and we chose Hotel Centrum based on recommendations, reviews and value. We were very pleased with the room, central location in town and the helpful staff. We stayed in 411 and it had a lovely balcony overlooking the shops and restaurants on Hafnarstræti. Easy, free parking after 4pm in the public lot just behind the hotel. Great modern bathroom with a walk-in shower, great Internet connectivity, fridge in the room, comfortable chairs and bed, and blackout curtains for those 11pm sunsets in summer. There was no TV but that really ended up being a bonus.

I may be biased because I was upgraded to an amazing, large, beautiful suite. We booked several rooms, all were lovely. The decor, the comfort, the bed, cleanliness, bathroom, shower were exceptional. Helpfulness of staff. I had left a bottle of Reyka vodka in the refrigerator and went back hours later and they had saved it. It is in walking distance of the whale watching tours. I highly recommend Centrum Hotel. Checkin was easy. The hotel is on a pedestrian only street with lovely shops and restaurants. Don't make the parking difficult. Park in the lot they suggest and walk a past a building. It's easy.

Horrible. Tried to cancel well ahead of time as I was sick with Covid and unable to travel and was told no canceling, so they charged me for a room that was never used….i guess I should have just arrived and gotten everyone sick?

We booked the suite for a week and we were quite happy with our choice. The room was new and welcoming. The only caveat was that the listing on Expedia mentioned a tv and there was none. While not a huge deal, it is still annoying. They offered free breakfasts to make up for it, which was appreciated. However the breakfast brunch is one of the worst we've ever had... We decided to stop going, even if it was free... Nonetheless, we liked our stay and we do recommend the hotel. Just stay away from the breakfast.

This hotels location is great! The rooms are above a bar but we didn’t hear any noise all night. The biggest problem was that the shower flows out of the shower so we kept soaking towels to keep the water in and then it seemed to be a big deal when we had asked for more. I’m not sure what was said but one worker argued with another in front of us back and forth before we finally got some. There is a mini fridge and coffee and tea and basic cooking stuff as well as a stove. The balcony is cute though it seems they could maintain some things a little better. The latch on the door was barely hanging on and some handles were missing on the storage but the beds were comfy and the room was clean. Overall we would stay here again though we ended up leaving early due to running out of things to do near by. I do not recommend the bar for food, 2 veggie tacos were around $35 USD Though I do realize Aukeryri is a bit more pricy than some of our other stops.
