The motel is very old. They have basically slapped some lipstick on a pig at this place. The rooms and bathrooms are old 1950’ish with crappy IKEA-like furniture, paper thin walls, daylight all around the door, multiple layers of paint inside the rooms and outside. Smells old and musty, no mattress pads on the beds, dirty bathroom, mirror was hanging crooked as though it was about to fall, finger prints and soap or toothpaste splashed on the mirror. We asked to look at another room and it was not any better, still no mattress pads.
The lady at the front desk was nice but not apologetic and offered us a full refund rather than offer to even clean up the rooms and add mattress pads. So we took the refund and left.
On this trip we stayed at 3 properties found on Expedia and a fourth one (this property) that we didn’t stay in. Only one of them was actually nice, clean and lived up to its reviews. The other 3 had great reviews 8.6 and above but weren’t clean or nice. I am beginning to question the accuracy of the reviews on Expedia. Next trip I will try another travel booking site. This makes me sad as I have been using Expedia for at 15 years and have always had good experiences.
