Hyatt Place Albany/Downtown

"Nice place - our second stay there. Great local amenities - like Common Roots. Short walk to downtown Albany. Plenty of inexpensive parking (~$10/day). Good complementary breakfast. The staff was unusually friendly and helpful. As with the first stay, there were minor mechanical issues in the rooms. The toilet rocked back and forth due to not being adequately secured to the floor. The escutcheon plate on the shower valve was not properly attached, which will be a problem for the hotel when water from the shower head enters the wall, The bathroom sink's faucet strikes the 4' mirror when rotated to HOT and is chipping the glass. The first time we stayed the smoke detector was 2' from the heating/air conditioning exhaust vent, and when we turned on the heat, apparently previously unused that year, it triggered the fire alarm. In that case the bathroom door was so misaligned with the door frame that it wouldn't close."

"Tyler at the front desk was extremely helpful and accommodating. We arrived a bit early and he graciously allowed us to check in early. Helpful staff at breakfast. One of the guests was becoming unruly but the staff were great."

"I stayed at this hotel last year to attend a wedding in Schenectady and my experience and stay eas great so i decided to stay there again this year to attend a festival nearby and we had a wonderful stay, the staff are very polite and kind, the rooms are clean and tidy. I would definitely be staying there in the future."

"The room is very clean and tidy, water pressure is great in the bathroom for shower and the sink. Our room has the river view and it is amazing to wake up to that breathtaking view. Staffs are helpful but seems to be shorthanded, especially with large groups, service could be dragging. Not the fault of the staffs but more on the hotel management. Still it does affect the guests experience. Overall it is an amazing location, great view, and also has 4 slow speed ev chargers."
