"It’s opposite the Marina and within walking access to the Old town. The train and bus stations are a short walk away. This made the stay convenient. We got a bottle of wine as part of the hotels.com reservation which was great. We went for the half board option expecting a buffet for dinner but instead we had a three course meal which far outweighed the costs of the half board deal. Bed, pillows and room was comfortable. Good bathroom with toiletries. Also got a free bottle of still and sparkling water. Great deal overall!"

"The food is great buffee option is nice for dinner if you arent half board try it , the restaurant options were all good and quality staff is lively and good spot for hiking quiet time . The spa is convenient but i have seen better i can rate the spa 5 out of 10. For this quality it was poor massage . Other than the massage i would recommend the hotel for relax and rest time . Very good option "

"The gentleman at the front desk was wonderful. Very helpful. The breakfast bar……..I’m celiac. The first morning I asked a staff member about gluten free. She kind of laughed, then pointed out the 3 supposedly hot things I could have. The pastries were beautiful, but nothing available for gluten free. The size of this breakfast buffet is nothing short of unbelievable. Celiac is not a choice. This is a disease. Vegetarian is easily available. Sent a msg to the hotel manager. He emailed back & said he’d talk to the kitchen manager. "

"The kitchen was fully but sparsely equipped. A Teflon fry pan past its best before was quickly replaced. Even dishwasher soap was provided. Housekeeping were very accommodating even when we were very late leaving the room. Did not try the breakfast"

"Very clean place round, some rooms with small balconies, ground bar and roof top bar and small pool (bar limited hours in March). 5 - 10 minutes walk down to quay side and ferries to outlying islands. Hotel staff could not have been more helpful. Good breakfast for €12pp, hot and cold food, three courses set you up for the day. Good value as well. Highly recommended "

"What an amazing place. Ocean view. Breakfast buffet was one of the largest i ever seen. Totally would go back. Walking distance to the town with many dinner opportunities. "

"Navigating premises was so difficult I got lost, which has never happened to me before. Improper or non existent signage and several sets of stairs which required me to have staff handle my luggage which I rarely reqiired. "

"Lovely superior room overlooking the beach in the Praia hotel (note that there are 2 different buildings, so the cheaper rooms are not on in the beachside building). Fell asleep listening to the waves each night. Be aware that the bathroom ‘wall’ is a half-frosted glass pane (though the toilet is separated). Not an issue if you’re close to the person you’re sharing the room with! Breakfast was good but not great. Worth including at the discounted rate but definitely not worth the €22 on the day! Overall, the rooms are great value for money, and we would stay here again, but only in the superior rooms in the ‘Praia’ hotel. "
