"This place is only an hour drive from the Edinburgh airport and great place to start your drive into Scotland. I got there way before "check in" but I was able to leave my car and walk to the Castle and enjoy the city. The room was warm and cozy and it was so great to have pub/restaurant onsite. The food was great and it was a great start to my Scotland vacation."

"It is convenient to park your car at this inn. Highland Gate is not the inn but the the restaurant. The Highland Gate restaurant and Marton's Inn are in two separate buildings. The inn's outside apearance and inside conditions are quite mediocre: carpet in the hallway looks dirty at every entrance to the room; there is no rack or shelve for suitcases though the room size is decent; the bathroom has a peculiar smell (not stinky but unpleasant to me), and the double bed (made of two single beds)...

"Absolutely ideally suited. A stones throw away from the centre. Plenty of parking spaces. I'm sure l saw a ramp for wheelchairs. Great breakfast too . Very helpful staff. Wouldn't think twice about staying there again."
