"This hotel has just been taken over by new owners the staff were saying, so are putting a lot of money into it to get it up to 4 star. The staff were so helpful, my room was great ,and with the improvements it'll only get better. What a location too, loved we were looking out over the ocean, and an easy walk into town. I'll definitely be staying here again when I come back."

The resort itself is beautiful and has a lot of covered walking paths to get from the lobby to the rooms, pools, and restaurants, helpful when it rains on and off a lot in Cairns. Breakfast buffet was really good, wish it was built into the price though. Staff were very welcoming and helpful, particularly one night with very noisy neighbours at 2:30am. "Started off a bit average with the reception trying to charge us again for our room, then giving us another clients room keys, the stay got better after the initial check in greeting."

"Perfectly located and within walking distance to pretty much everything. Staff were friendly and extremely helpful. No housekeeping to rooms if stay is under 5 days (or at an additional charge if required). The only issue with this is that the bin fills up really quickly and there is no spare liner to replace it. Overall very happy with my stay and would definitely recommend."

"It was terrible during my 4 days stay at hotel. The first two days I kept on being interrupted by noise. The first night the noise was so loud I thougt it was train passing near by. I could not fall asleep for most of the night. It totally ruined my following day reef tour. l believe the noise came from a blocked or damaged stormwater down pipe outside my room after rain. The front desk staff were helpful and tried to swap my room with an upcoming customers as the hotel was fully booked....
