"The first point is the steep slope upto the properties from the road, we had read some of the other reviews and it isnt at all bad, as long as you are in first gear its a breeze!! Another negative thing we read was the steps down to the road, if you are on foot, these were not as bad as other reviews say!! Yes they are slightly uneven but not a problem to get up and down them. "The expectation was of a 4star apartment.The reality was a basic 2star! I realise it was a Cretan style building & have no problem with that but a few modern touches and some comfortable loungers etc would be nice.Crete is lovely and the people very friendly so we enjoyed our stay overall just not the hotel."

"We were about 20 days in Villa Italiana and out of the 4 studios that there are in the villa they gave us the worst, as it was just in front of the community area, it was next to the car parking, it was just in front of the entrance to the villa and in the access area to go to Rosa's house (owner of the villa).
