Not like the photos.

Lots of issues. The photos showed a room with a desk and office chair. I got a beat up table and upright chair. Dust bucket under bed. Dirty shower. Main issue was no internet for 24 hours. At first not believed, then snow blamed even though it was fine elsewhere in the hotel. No offer for me to change rooms. On the plus side a couple of the staff were friendly, the bed was comfy, mainly quiet and they did store my luggage for me for a few hours at the end of my stay. But overall poor.

We chose Cihan Palas because of its history and location. It's well past its best now but you can tell it used to be the height of glamour last century. The spiral staircase is impressive and there are comfy leather seats on the top floor terrace. It was lacking in upkeep, as shown by some lights not working in the room, dirty shower screen and toilet rubbish left in the fridge, missing towels and toilet paper. However the staff were quick to respond when we asked for supplies. The elderly gentleman on the front desk was a complete charmer and as helpful as can be and the young lady was quick to make us coffees and make us comfortable. Close to lots of shops and easy walking distance to many of Ankara's sights. Recommended if you can tolerate a few imperfections. Large room, good value for money.

Güleryüzlü karşılama personelleri var, odalara ayak havlusu koymalarını öneririm çünkü küvetler yüksek duştan çıkarken tehlike arz edebilir odaların temizliği çok güzel ancak sadece gözüken kısımlar :) Onun dışında kusursuz bir otel kesinlikle tavsiye ederim.

Bana ayrılan oda temizlenmemişti, yatak tüy içindeydi, banyo temizlenmemişti yerde uzun saçlar vardı, banyoda önceden kalan kişiden kalan sabun alınmamış bu da temizlenmediğini gösteriyor. Lavabo da keza ayni şekildeydi. Sigara kokusu sinmiş bir odaydı.

For tourists it is a convenient choice

It is very conveniently located close to the airport bus, metro, train station and city center, I have to say that the furniture is not the newest but if you plan to visit around and not stay in all day it's fine. It has a retro vibe that gives it's charm. Do not expect fanciness, but the quality-price ratio is fair. The host was very friendly and helpful. For tourists it is a go-for.
