"A gorgeous place to stay. We loved our time at Aquila and felt so relaxed and refreshed being there. The room was clean and cosy, especially with the fire on. The amenities were fantastic and the bottle of bubbly readily enjoyed! We both found the bed to be comfortable and had a real quality night's sleep. Couldn't fault it, thank you for having us! "

Cobwebs and dust hanging from windows, ceilings and fan was an eyesore. In the accommodation folder says bacon, eggs and yogurts were supplied for breakfast, no yoghurts, and weren’t expecting Aldi packaged sliced ham instead of bacon and Aldi prima’s. No curtain to cover the window facing the loft bedroom which let the hot sun beam...

"It’s very dated and gives domitory style accommodation. Walls are very thin and I could hear everything in the next room and corridor. I could hear a man in an adjuscent room snore the whole night. Staff are not available onsight after-hours. I had to walk a very long way from my room to get hot water/tea and use the microwave which is in the common room, because the taps closest to me were broken. My room was full of ants and the bathroom tiles are brown with stains. Bed not so comfortable but...

"Property was easy to check in and the front desk gentleman was very kind. The property itself is in need of upgrades. Carpets are worn. Elevator needs a spruce up. The room environmentally was dark, the temperature was comfortable and was very quiet despite being on a busy street. We didn't drive but there appeared to be adequate parking in the underground garage. The property felt safe. The housekeeping needs supervison. Room windows needed attention, tub had hair. "This hotel is a home for displaced individuals, there were permanent residents in rooms that were not even one star quality. I did not even sleep there as I did not feel safe and instead booked a different motel down the road. My intuition was correct as when I turned up the next day I saw the reception front windows had been smashed in overnight. Definitely avoid this hotel"
