Sorry your experience was not up to your liking. We have not had problems with the lighting before, in fact, people love the low lighting and the mushroom lights as ambiance. We keep the lighting low so people can enjoy the sky and what it has to offer. And we do have our own private lake. Those people who stay multiple days use our lake for swimming, kayaking, and canoeing and your room faced that lake. You arrived late and only stayed one night so you did not have time to use the lake. And I am finding messages sent through Expedia do not make it to us, but we do have three different phone numbers that people use all the time to contact us.

Thanks for the nice review. You got here just after we had a lightning strike and it eliminated the electricity in our upstairs room, so fortunately our Suite was available to upgrade you at no cost. We loved having you and hope you come back to see us. Pura Vida.

Thanks so much for your great review. We are glad you chose us to break up the drive from LIR to La Fortuna. We enjoy making people's stay memorable and we stress not only comfort but safety. That is the reason for the electric gate and the B&B being set back from the main road. The road is easily accessed, but far enough away where there is not as much road noise. Sorry about the dinner. We changed to doing dinner for our guests based on a comment in a review, so we do listen to our guests' recommendations. The dinners are all by reservation only, and if we closed before you came here, then it is because there was no reservation. We are one of the few B&B's in the area that have a restaurant also, and now are open for dinner by reservation, no matter if it is 2 people or 10 people. Again, sorry for not being open for you when you needed dinner. Pura Vida
