"We booked 1 room for 3 people and they charged us for 3 rooms and refused to give us a refund for 2 rooms. Bugs came out of the AC when we turned in on. Breakfast was beans, rice and egg with water down coffee. Not a good experience."

The room was huge, with a vast en suite and good facilities. It was spotless. The staff were friendly and professional all the time. So helpful. The restaurant had the most wonderful ambience, being semi open air, with a stupendous wire. Great food at every meal.

Location was perfect for spotting birds and doing short (10-30 minutes) drives to other good birding locations. We booked the room with balcony. The room was clean and the bed was good. Patrica is the lady that manages everything. She also cooked great meals for us. So please order the lunch and dinner also there. We are very happy and enjoyed our stay. Definitely recommended!

The secret garden is way up in the mountains overlooking Cartago and had it not been cloudy we would have seen a spectacular sun set, unfortunately we didn’t, but the cloud did ease off for a spectacular view of Cartago sparkling in the night far below our lodge.
