Manor House Hotel
Hotel grounds were lovely. Booked mainly to use the gym but it was £20 extra and didn’t open till 8am (so not ideal if staying for business - but I should’ve checked prior). Bathrooms could do with a refresh.

Lumley Castle Hotel
Really didn't enjoy our stay. The room was dirty especially around the windows and in poor state of repair with multiple chips in the basin. We had to climb a very old spiral staircase to get to the room which would be an issue for anyone with mobility issues. Finally we were given a choice of breakfast ...

Stuart met us on arrival and was so helpful. Taking the time to advise us on best ways to go into town, and then changing our room to one with a separate shower rather than over the bath which was better for my husband. White House Cottages
The cottage surpassed our expectations. It was warm, cosy & comfortable. We had a lovely two days stay and would definitely return if in the area again.
