"The hotel is chasing, as in old charm. But beyond the charm, a reality come with it. It would need a lot of renovation, espacially with the bathroom. The shower in my room was a prefab shower module from the 80's. Completely run down, almost unusable, potentially dangerous as you could easily slide and fall in it. It may not be the case for all the rooms, but make sure to ask if the bathroom as been renovated! The staff was nice, and apolegatic about it. The owners need to do something about it....

"Chambre d’hôtes très sympathique, avec une jolie vue sur le lac, la chambre a une literie très confortable, très bien décorée, calme Le petit déjeuner est servi directement dans un sas à côté de la chambre à l’heure souhaitée, vous n’avez plus qu’à ouvrir une porte et le récupérer dans votre chambre cela est très pratique je recommande cette chambre d’hôtes également un très bon accueil "

"We stayed at Le Grand Bassin Guesthouse for one night before picking up our Le Boat for a 10-day cruise east. I can say without hesitation that we had a perfect stay! We arrived on Castelnaudry by train, and then walked to the guesthouse, so of course we were behind schedule. Sophie waited patiently for us and, on our arrival, called Chez David in town to make sure we would get a table for dinner. Sophie is an exceptional host, and our room was clean and comfortable. "Fantastiskt mottagande. Vi kom sent utan att ha ätit middag. En fantastisk sallad med gott vin fixades fram. Trevligt samtal med ägarna. God frukost med närproducerade varor. Kan verkligen rekommendera detta boende. Men det var svårt att hitta rätt ingången i mörkret. "

"Aardige plek bij watermolen, langs doorgaande weg. Zelf erg op netheid, schoon, stofvrij en hygiene. Bovenstaand had dit verblijf niet, aardige gastheer dat wel maar dat is normaal toch. "
