"I ordered a BLT from the kitchen while visiting the bar on the roof. When the food arrived, the bartender told me she was just made aware the cook had just told her that they were out of tomatoes. She said the cook had to throw them all away. Fine, I realize things happen. But, what struck me as odd is that rather than tell me at the time, they just brought me the BLT minus the T and said she discounted it. I would have rather the cook told her at the time the order was entered that he/she was out of tomatoes and prompt the bartender to come to my table and ask if I would like something else. Instead, since I was very hungry from my drive during the day, I ate it. I think there is a learning experience to be had here for the staff. Thanks! (PS: The bartender, the staff in the lobby, downstairs were all friendly). The room was clean, the lobby staff was great."
