Not what expected

1st of all, this is not a hotel. It is actually condos that appear to be rented out when vacant. Was not expecting this through Expedia. Need to be aware a few things. There are no check in desks, there is no set parking, and you need to be aware of where you are at. Little confusing. Check in guy was very responsive by phone. Nice space for the money.

Not a hotel, it's an AirBNB-type condo. Nice tho

Now I know why I couldn't find anything on Google for "Riverside Suites." It's...not really a hotel. Somebody owns a few units in a big residential condo and is basically AirBNB'ing them out and...I guess calling his units "Riverside Suites" on Orbitz. I didn't know Orbitz listed these kind of places. Regardless, it was a nice experience. Good location, clean building, nice pool, and our room had a balcony. The host was very nice and always responded to our texts promptly. FYI parking is $25/night.

So Happy We Stayed Here!

Absolutely beautiful place to stay for an amazing price! It was wonderful to have a full kitchen and full-size washer and dryer in the unit since we were staying here due to water damage at our nearby home where we had been without these things for days. David was extremely helpful giving us the key and showing us where to park right when we arrived. Thank you so much!!!

The Riverside Suites is perfectly located in downtown Austin. It is located within a few blocks of a variety of restaurants, attractions and local businesses. We stayed in a 2 bedroom, 2 bath industrially designed unit which was very roomy and had all of the basics you would need, including in unit washer and dryer, kitchen including a dishwasher, soaking tubs. The complex has a very nice pool area as well. Our contact person was David, he was very attentive when we needed him, gave us great recommendations for places in the area and made us feel very welcomed. My only complaint was with the couch and double beds in both rooms. They were uncomfortable, the beds were saggy and noisy, the couch was a sofa bed and was saggy to sit on, we didn’t use it as a sofa bed. If the complex upgraded these three items it would be the perfect rental.

Exceptional

Lovely, spacious and very clean apartment. David, a very nice young man, met us as we arrived at the apartment and showed us around. We were delighted with the comfort and condition of the place. The lounge/ dining room was large and well furnished. There was a fully fitted kitchen with a separate utility room which had a washing machine and tumble dryer. The two beautiful bedrooms were on either side of the loung which provided a privacy should 4 people be sharing. Each bedroom had an en suite bathroom, plenty of drawer and cupboards, plus huge walk in wardrobes. One bedroom had a balcony. It is situated at 5th street, so a 10 minute walk takes you to 1st street and the river walk. Or, one block up to 6th street a d the music bars. Parking in Austin is very expensive so $30 for private parking at the apartment was reasonable. However, we parked at a meter at the front door which was $1.20 per hour and free between midnight and 8am. Would definately stay here again.

It was like getting something for free.

The property was a full apartment in a secure facility. Super walking distance to everything.

Great location but...

Very spartan and no common tv channels (ESPN, CNN) Come on. Need to the bare minimum. This was for business travel. I expect a certain level of amenities of which this one had limited parking and limited TV. Comfortable and safe but not for business travelers.

More than a hotel stay.

Really nice place, it’s a bit differ as there is no main office for check in, but staff called at met me as I pulled up and got us all settled in. There were to separate rooms with two bathrooms. So lots of room and privacy. Definitely will stay there again.

Look no Further

Great property to stay in. Now will be my #1 choice when staying in Austin. Located walking distance from 'everything'. Management could not be more accommodating. Had 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, plenty of TV;s, washer & dryer, and full kitchen.

Good location and price

We stayed for a long weekend with friends. It's 2 bedroom and 2 bathrooms, but the second bedroom had no door and one wall was open at the top. The beds and pillows were not comfortable. The small sofa/sleeper was the only area to sit besides the dining table. For two couples this lacked privacy and at times comfort. Steven met us and showed us the property and gave us all the needed info. I was able to text him when I had questions and he answered promptly. The kitchen had all of the necessary items, although we didn't cook. The location was great to walk to many of the things we wanted to do. Getting an uber or lyft was inexpensive too. While the price and location were great, I don't know that I'd try to sleep on those beds again.

Cozy Stay in Downtown Austin

My group of 4 had an excellent stay at the Suite Destination Downtown Austin. Staff was extremely flexible, helpful, and friendly. The rooms were clean, nicely decorated, and cozy. I would definitely stay here again.
