"Everything was great. Room was big and comfortable overall a great experience. It was self-service so there wasn’t much in term of service from the hotel but everything was there so really great. I put 4 for service but for a self-service it was great. "

"Check in was easy you get a code sent for the front and room door, very well equipped with a small kitchen area with a fridge which when travelling with a dog was really useful for the food. Bed lovely and comfy with a small balcony area to sit out and as the weather was so good was perfect. Ample parking with a very short walk into Aviemore, plenty local shops, cafes and pubs/restaurants to choose from "

"Staff were friendly and helpful, location handy and beautiful, with red squirrels nearby and nesting house martins. My only suggestion would be that - as we should be reducing meat and dairy consumption for environmental reasons - vegetarian breakfast should be the norm."

"The Braemar Youth hostel might be the most charming and lovely hostel I’ve stayed at. The location is peaceful and the facility itself is comfortable and cozy. This hostel has a great lounge, large kitchen with all the essential utensils, and the staff are so accommodating and pleasant. "
