"Resort location is stunning. You can tell it’s fairly new with the modern rooms and pool conditions. Some elements this resort lacks is evening entertainment (no theatre), no swim up bar, no self serve pop/juice machines, NO LUNCH BUFFET, breakfast doesn’t start until 8am, minimal options at breakfast and dinner buffets. Bar staff discouraged guests going up and ordering drinks ourselves. I was told to find my waiter and have him get the drinks on my behalf. I just needed a glass of water! Waiters only came to our pool chair once every 2 hours (yes we were tipping).
Foods and sauces need to be labeled properly. We have a tree nut allergy in our group. No staff could give us enough reassurance about contamination. She survived off cantaloupe and honey dew for a week.
Rooms were very clean and all staff we encountered in the hallways were extremely friendly.
Beach shuttle was convenient and the restaurant down there was probably the best meal we had all week.
I asked for a bit of a later check out due to not getting picked up for the airport until 3pm. We were told $20USD per person, per hour, would be charged. I’ve never experienced such a fee at other resorts. We were a group of 7 and didn’t see the value in this charge. We waited in the lobby for our ride.
We won’t be recommending or returning to this resort. Definitely didn’t feel like we got our moneys worth.
