Barlavento hotel guide. Marriott Hotels & Resorts hotel in Barlavento, Portugal

At check in we were welcomed by Joana who was so helpful and recommended places to see. We stayed in room 303, which is one of the external rooms overlooking the pool and you can even see the sea in the distance. Roll had a big balcony. These rooms have steep stairs and aren’t suitable for people with mobility issues. There was a small table and chairs and a couple of sun loungers. Towels were provided as well as freshly filtered drinking water. The room was big and beds were comfortable,...

Superb hotel. Wonderful staff. Perfect peace and quiet

We had a wonderful relaxing week at Vale da Lapa in April with our two young sons. The villa was spacious, well equipped and cleaned every day if you want it to be. The swimming pools are great and the boys loved them. It was quite quiet the week we were there, so we often had them to ourselves. We also used the spa facilities and these were great too. The restaurant had a good menu for lunches. We didn't go in the evenings, so I don't know about the menu for that. The staff were really...

Fantastic experience, I will definitely be visiting again due to the convenience and cleanliness of the hotel, amazing!

A wonderful home away from home. Really impressed. Very much hoping to return!

The bedroom, the service, the food and the beach are all exceptionally wonderful. Can't wait to go back!

The Salema Beach Village ishigh end with top spec properties. The properties are very well built and tastefully (yet simply) decorated. We stayed in Townhouse No.111 which is a 3-bedroom and at the back of the complex, overlooking the pool. Once the pool bar opens it will be next door to this property. Cleaners come in every day (the time varied from 10am on one day to around 5pm on most days) which meant the townhouse was kept spotless. The pool and surrounding area is also spotless as...

Fantastic apartment and great facilities

Loved the hotel! Breakfast was great and plenty of choice. Staff were very helpful. Location was great for beaches and walks. We enjoyed the 15 min walk to old town.

The main building where we stayed is very well maintained and the cleaning is top rate. The hotel staff can not do enough for you and make your stay a very pleasant and relaxing break. The breakfast has something for everyone and is very fresh and replenished throughout the breakfast service between 08.00 and 11.00 am. If you are a pool person (like swimming) then this is not the hotel for you as the pool areas are small and only there for cooling off. Both pools are well maintained. The hotel...

Hilario and the team at Vila Luz are top notch - ideal location for meander into the resort

Great location very friendly staff. Good breakfast comfortable beds very clean

Really great property and really well fitted out in the kitchen for cooking which can be rare. Great and helpful staff who are very responsive. Great to have the easy access to the pool for lazy afternoons and the Moroccan restaurant at the pool is amazing and really good value. Easy 15-minute walk into the centre of town which goes past small local Portuguese restaurants, bakeries and coffee shops so you could experience the fancy old town places as well as the authentic local places.

This hotel is a gem. We have been going there for years and shall be returning again. As soon as you step in this place, you enter a haven of tranquility and peacefulness. The grounds are stunning, the staff are great (from people at the reception to the buggie lads, to the breakfast team). We are made feel very welcome from beginning to the end. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The breakfast is sensational. I LOVE this place. This is the only place we holiday to since we...

We booked a week for our honeymoon and Masana Algarve exceeded our expectations in every aspect. The apartment provided all the amenities needed, clean, spacious and very comfortable. High quality accessories and linen. Accessible and quiet, well looked after and walking distance of sandy beach. Staff very friendly and professional with a very positive polite attitude. Can’t recommend it enough. Definitely will go back. Magical.

We stayed at the Episode Sana for 4 nights. We went to relax and whine down, so the location was a perfect spot for us. If you want to. E by the hustle and bustle, 'subs this is not the hotel for you. The interior is amazing. The food is nice. We had spa treatments, which were great. They really do look after you. Even room service, when we ordered food it was no longer than 15 minutes. Beautiful grounds including hammock sun beds where you can lounge away from the pool and everybody and read or...

Great

Staff were helpful and friendly. 20 minute walk to beautiful old town. Very quiet and relaxing.

Lovely clean and modern hotel ideally located next to Alvor beach. All staff were extremely polite and friendly and even allowed me to check in early since there were rooms available. Would definitely recommend to anyone
