"Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. All staff were very friendly making for a relaxing stay. Evening meal was was also very nice ( I had the pie both nights, highly recommended) wine a bit on pricy side but I enjoyed it all the same!"

"We stayed at Armathwaite Hall for one night and it was superb. The staff were all so friendly and helpful and little touches made our stay very memorable such as a glass of prosecco on arrival and a card and some chocolates in my room for my birthday. We stayed in a Club room which was very spacious. We ate in the dining room which was pricey but the food was exquisite so worth the money. We also made full use of the spa facilities which are just heavenly and very relaxing. I would thoroughly...

"Property is dated, but is having some renovation work done. Still Quite a few shabby areas.
We picked this hotel for it's advertised amenities, but found the Tennis and golf putting green not available, plus no secure bike lockup, had to leave locked to car. Poor visability on Security camera overlooking car and had to move it to more secure location."

"Room was clean but small.windows rattled all night (had to put paper wedges in to try help.curtain was hanging of the rail .
Great location but ive stayed in better in Carlisle that have been cheaper .also the carpark is tiny..my husband is disabled and had to park 400 yards away on both night's "

"The Bridge Inn at Holmrook. Our room was really comfortable, warm and spotlessly clean and well maintained. The whole of the Bridge Inn is dog friendly and welcoming to our pair of 4paws. The breakfast was brilliant. There's a really good selection to choose from and everything was cooked to perfection.
We ate at the Bridge Inn every night because the food was excellent. The last time we ate food that good was when we ate at James Martin's restaurant. The menu had just the right amount of dishes...
